Electrical amplification device with cathode ray tube.
In the case of electrical amplification devices, the space requirement often plays a major role, especially when such devices are used for the purposes of de. Army and Navy. In the case of reinforcement devices with cathode ray tubes, the arrangement was previously made in such a way that the tube and the iron resistor assigned to the hot cathode of the tube were mounted next to one another on separate connection sockets. As a rule, the tube is supported on two sockets which are perpendicular to the tube axis and which are provided with plug-in contact devices. The plug contacts of one base are used to accommodate the power supply lines for the hot cathode and the plug contacts of the other base are used to accommodate the power supply lines for the grid and the anode.
The special base for the iron resistor housed in a cylindrical glass tube was designed with plug-in contacts in the same or a similar way as the two bases for the cathode ray tube. This arrangement of the parts of a reinforcement device takes up a relatively large amount of space.
A far better use of space is achieved if, according to the invention, the iron resistor is attached below the cathode ray tube between its two connection sockets. If this arrangement, also according to the invention, is further developed in such a way that the iron resistor is attached directly to the base of the cathode ray tube provided with the connections for the hot cathode, then one achieves the advantage of having the special base for the iron resistance saves entirely. The best conditions are obtained when the iron resistor is attached to the inner longitudinal side of the base, which is perpendicular to the cathode ray tube, with the connections for the hot cathode in such a way that the longitudinal axes of the tube and the iron resistor intersect at right angles.
In this case, the connection wires that are otherwise present between the iron resistor and the connections for the hot cathode can be dispensed with, so that, in addition to saving space

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing in FIG. 1 in a side view and in FIG. 2 in a top view.
The cathode ray tube is designated with K, the iron resistor with E, SI and S2 are the two connection bases for the tube K. Each of these bases carries on its upper side

on the base SI are used to connect the power supply lines ZI for the hot cathode and the contacts h2 on the base s for connecting the power supply lines for the grid and the anode. These power supply lines are arranged at the ends of the pipe K. On the inner long side of the base S1, two plug contacts & 'are also attached, which accommodate the power supply z' for the iron resistor E and at the same time carry it.
In this way, the iron resistor E is accommodated without a special base below the pipe K and between its bases SI and S2, in such a way that the longitudinal axes of the pipe K and the iron resistor E cross at right angles.
