Grenade launcher with spherical aiming joint.
The invention relates to a grenade launcher with a spherical right-hand joint, which is intended for heavy bombs that are placed over the head of the throwing spike.
The invention consists in that, when changing direction, only the throwing mandrel is adjusted vertically and sideways in a ball socket with the intermediary of the mandrel supports, while the base plate remains stationary. The latter can also be designed as a transport wheel. Furthermore, the change in direction can be roughly effected by adjusting the mandrel supports and the fine adjustment by means of a gear to be engaged.
In the drawing, the grenade launcher is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment, namely in FIG. 1 in a side view, partly in section and in FIG. 2 in a top view.
The grenade launcher consists of a throwing spike a, the upper end of which carries the spike head b and contains the ignition device together with the firing device Mrg c and the lower end of which is designed as a ball stud d; furthermore from a wheel-shaped base plate with ball socket g and two mandrel strands according to
As a result of the storage of the throwing mandrel in the ball socket, the latter absorbs the recoil and at the same time serves to change direction when the base plate remains in a fixed position, which is achieved by simply adjusting the mandrel socket on the ground.
In the case of larger and heavier grenade launchers, the base plate is used as a transport wheel and the grenade launcher is carried away like a wheelbarrow with the aid of the mandrel supports or a dedicated vehicle with the mandrel head packed on the latter.
The rough setting of the change of direction is effected by simply adjusting the mandrel supports on the ground and in the same way for heavier items, but the fine setting is effected by switching on a gear.
The directional change in the direction of the firing board is determined in a known manner according to a quadrant, lace or a circular vial with a range indicator.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Grenade launcher with spherical aiming joint, characterized in that the supporting end of the throwing spike is designed as a ball stud and is mounted in the spigot of a base plate, so that when there is a change in direction, only the throwing spike is vertically and sideways in the ball socket the mandrel supports is adjusted while the base plate remains unchanged in the embedded position.
