Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Practice ammunition for artillery and aircraft.
The invention represents a modification of live artillery ammunition and aerial bombs for training purposes; The practice ammunition produced according to the invention has exactly the same weight and the same ballistic shape as the sharp one, but contains only a small explosive charge and mainly a ranch set that makes the impact of the projectile visible from afar.
The drawing shows exemplary embodiments of the invention. FIG. 1 is an intersection through an artillery projectile and FIG. 2 an intersection through an aerial bomb.
The novelty in the design of the projectile is that the training projectile, while maintaining the external shape of the sharp projectile, is given a thin-walled jacket 1 which is blown up by a small explosive charge. The reduced weight resulting from the thin jacket is compensated for by a full core attachment inside 2. The remaining cavity is filled with a smoke generator.
The usual (simplified) surcharge or time fuse is used as a detonator.
Since the whole thing can be produced as a simple gray cast piece, manufacture is very easy and the costs are very low.
