Transport barrels with removable, screwed bottom.
There are metal drums with screwed, removable bottom known, in which the screws as well as the sealing surfaces in the two main directions of the
Barrel, namely in that of the barrel longitudinal axis and in line with it. These are only suitable for storage barrels, but not for transport barrels, which the latter occasionally des
Rolling and loading are subject to the most varied of demands. Namely, there is nothing easier than that the transport barrels have to suffer bumps in these two directions, which are at the same time the directions of the main stresses. If such a shock hits a z.
B. loosely inserted in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the barrel
Screw, it will be loosened, mainly if it comes from the outside, i. H. is attacked from the mother side. And when the joint hits the screwed edges itself, it tries to drive the sealing surfaces apart and open them.
The present invention aims to remedy these disadvantages and to offer a construction in which the impacts are always attenuated in their sealing-disrupting effects. According to the present invention, the screws and sealing surfaces are never placed in a main barrel direction at the same time, but always in such a way that either the screws or the sealing surface, or the two, are in a third or in each other
Falling direction. This controls the risk that a shock will use its full force
Solution of the screw connection can unfold, because now at most one component of the impact acts in this sense, the relative size of which depends on the deviations from the main barrel directions.
The sealing surfaces are given tire reinforcements to ensure the advantages described.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, with 1 being the shell, 2 being the base, 3 being a sealing ring, 4 being an end hoop and 5 being the
Screws to mean.
The left bottom 2, as well as its end hoop 4, as well as the angle iron flanges 6 are cambered according to the Kugoh'adius? 'And the screws 5 are placed in the shot peening direction.
Neither the sealing surfaces nor the screws are therefore in a main barrel and joint direction.
The right base 2, end hoop 4 and angle iron flange 6 are crimped after the cone-making S and the screws 5 are placed in the cone axis, which is also the longitudinal axis of the barrel. In this version, only the sealing surface is from the aforementioned
Main directions removed, which in itself will be sufficient for smaller forces and otherwise protected screws.
