Description

Screw nut for wood connections, especially those that can be transferred or dismantled
Buildings.

As is well known, an ordinary Yier or hexagonal screw nut usually requires tools for its handling, whereas the usual wing nuts have the major disadvantage that the wings break off easily when greater force is used.

In particular in lightweight structures that can be carried over and dismantled and in which screw bolts with the above-mentioned screw nuts are used in an extraordinarily large number, this leads to time-consuming disruptions in breaking and rebuilding.

The subject of the invention is a specially designed screw nut which combines all the advantages of the various types of known nut forms, while eliminating the disadvantages of each individual type of conventional nuts.

It is a wing nut that is easy to operate by hand, prevents the wings from breaking off even when the use of greater force is applied, but can also be used as an Eantmntter in the event that one or both of the wings breaks off with pliers or a key.

The drawing illustrates a side view and several matching floor plan shapes of such screw nuts.

They consist of a flat elliptical body 1, the ends 2 of which form the wings and are slightly curved upwards, as well as a square elevation 3 in the middle of the elliptical body.

As a result of the flat-elliptical shape, handling is easier than with the usual wing nut and there is also the advantage that the ends or wings cannot be bent or broken off. Should the wings break off, however, as is the case with the mother rusting or as a result of severe damage
 EMI1.1
Square nut continues to be used and can be turned at any time with pliers or a French key.
