Process for the production of a sulfur dye.

As has been established by the inventor, the sulphite waste nugeo contains sulphonic acid salts which are insoluble in saturated sodium chloride solution and which represent the so-called lignosulphonic acid salts. Lignosulfonic acid is obtained from these salts.

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a sulfur dye from these lignosulfonic acid salts or the corresponding sulfonic acid.

The ancestor is that the aua sulphite waste eye in a known manner by salting, z. B. by means of table salt, inherited lignin sulfonic acid salts or the corresponding acid heated together with sulfur and alkali sulfides or with other sulfur-containing substances suitable for the production of sulfur dyes. The following procedure is appropriate:
50g60% lignosulfonic acid salts,
100 sulfur sodium, 35y sulfur flowers, 100 9 water.

These substances were premixed and heated, the temperature being maintained for 20 minutes from 110 to 1150. The melt obtained can either be prewonded directly for coloring, or it can be dissolved in water and the solution is acid, e.g. B. hydrochloric acid, acidified, the fibrous material flowing out as a gray-black precipitate. The precipitate is separated from the solution, washed and dried. The sulfur dye obtained! is used in the same way as common sulfur dyes; H. it is dissolved in a warm solution of alkali metal sulfides and the solution is used for coloring.
