   Die Verwendung des hängenden Gasglühlichtes für gewöhnlichen oder   Pressgasdruck   zur Beleuchtung von Lokomotivsignallaternen stiess bisher auf Schwierigkeiten, weil eine scheinwerferartige Lichtwirkung erzielt wurde, die aus Betriebsgründen keineswegs erwünscht ist. Zwar sollen die Signallaternen auch unter   ungünstigen Witterungsverhältnissen   möglichst weit zu sehen sein, jedoch soll dieser Zweck nicht erreicht werden bei gleichzeitiger Blendung des   Strecken-oder Weichenpersonals. Aus   diesen Gründen führte die Gasglühlichtbeleuchtung für Lokomotivsignallaternen nicht zum Ziel.

   Die vorliegende Einrichtung ermöglicht es nun, die sehr viel   lichtstarkere Gasglühlichtbeleuchtnng   mit ihren wirtschaftlicheren Eigenschaften zur Beleuchtung von Signallaternen für Lokomotiven zu verwenden, ohne dass die unerwünschte Lichtintensität auftritt, dadurch, dass der Hängeglühkörper mit einem Quarzhohlkörper von   mässiger Lichtdurchlässigkeit   umgeben wird.
