Cartridge box for cartridge belts for machine guns.

The invention relates to a cartridge box for storing cartridge belts for machine guns.

The novelty is that the belts filled with cartridges are held in their position in a band-like shape, i.e. without lateral projections, so that a displacement of the belt on the cartridges is excluded during transport. If no devices are provided for holding the belt and if it can move on the cartridges due to vibrations, this makes accurate loading of the machine guns impossible, since the most important condition must be the prescribed position of the belt and cartridge. For this reason, belt supports are attached in the box to prevent the belt from moving or shifting.

In the drawing, a cartridge box is shown, which is intended to accommodate two cartridge belts. It shows: FIG. 1 a front view, FIG. 2 a side view, FIG. 3 a view from above and FIG. 4 a perspective view.

A partition is provided in the box a so that two belts cl filled with cartridges c can be accommodated. In order to prevent these belts d from moving during transport, the cartridge box is provided with guide strips e. The cartridge belt cannot change its position in the box. These guide rails are made of a resilient material, e.g. H. resilient metal strips that are only on
