EMI1.1
The object of the present invention relates to the special design of a lightning rod, in particular its tip. The previously known lightning rods have the disadvantage that they do not provide a reliable protection against the formation of a resistance, and yet the connection between the tip and the conductor wire leading to earth must be as resistance-free as possible in order for the lightning rod to work effectively. The previously known lightning conductors consistently have a special tip construction that can be connected to the conductor wire in various ways. At the junction between the tip construction and the line wire, the harmful resistance is created, especially after prolonged use or if the installation is not entirely reliable.
In order to remedy this inconvenience and to obtain a lightning rod with the lowest possible resistance, according to the present invention, any resistance between the lead and the tip is eliminated by the actual tip being formed by the lead wire itself, thus completely excluding any defective arrangement between the lead and the tip is.
The rod of the lightning rod, whether hollow or solid, has a hollow attachment into which the conductor wire enters laterally through a slot, the end of which goes over the attachment? nde protruding, forms the tip of the lightning rod itself, the lead wire being held in place by the end part of the conically narrowed attachment.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in section. At the upper end of the rod a, an attachment is inserted or attached, depending on whether the rod is hollow or solid. This attachment is on the side

Line penetrated corresponding hole. through which the lead wire introduced at d exits again. This arrangement has the advantage that the lead forms the tip itself, is held in its guidance by friction and thus a defective connection between the lead and the tip is made impossible.
