Rotary piston twist.
There are rotary lobe compressors with eccentrically mounted drum in the housing known, in which one or more continuous blades are slidably inserted, which by a centric to

Provided loops in which the guide pin engages; this design has the disadvantage that the diameter of the. The piston drum must be kept relatively large so that the guide loops of the vanes can be accommodated in it.
According to the invention, each wing is now guided by the engagement of a fork with a longitudinally displaceable bar therein, which organs are arranged in the interior of the piston drum and of which one is connected to the wing and the other with a pivot centrally rotatably mounted in the side wall of the housing is. This guidance also ensures that the ends of the wings do not slide on the inner surface of the housing, which is curved according to a cone or similar, although they come close to this surface.
The advantage of this type of guidance is, however, that the guide strip of the blades takes up much less space than the loops mentioned and thus the diameter of the drum can be kept considerably smaller. Compared to the known design, the compressor can therefore produce a greater delivery rate with the same housing diameter.
1 and 2 show a longitudinal and a cross section of the compressor according to the invention.
In the housing a, the drum b is eccentrically rotatably mounted in a known manner. This drum b is diametrically traversed by a wing c acting as a piston, the ends of which reach up to the inner, conchoidal or similarly curved diameter surface of the housing, but without touching it closely. The wing c has a recess inside the drum (l and within this it carries a transverse bar e. T; a fork f engages over this, which is attached to the end of the pin g, which is freely rotatably mounted in the center of the housing a Drum b is connected to pin h, which is mounted eccentrically in housing a and by means of which it is driven.
When it rotates, it takes the wing c with it, which is also guided by the engagement of its transverse bar with the fork f mounted centrally in the housing in such a way that it can be displaced in the radial direction relative to the housing. However, relative displacements transverse to the longitudinal direction of the wing can take place between the bar and fork.
Two or more wings can also be guided in the same way.
