Verfahren zur Herstellung weisser Emaillen.
Die Verwendung von Zinn-, Zirkon-. Antimon-, Titanoxyd und dgl. als Trübungsmittel zur Herstellung weisser Emaillen ist bekannt. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung weisser Emaillen unter Verwendung fester Lösungen dieser Oxyde und ihren Verbindungen mit alkalischen Erden, wobei der Gehalt an alkalischen Erden unterhalb des normalen Molekularverhältnisses liegt. Solche feste Lösungen unterscheiden sich von einer chemischen Verbindung dadurch. dass die Kompone nten nicht nach molekularem Verhältnisse auftreten und beliebig einstellbar sind. Der Erfindung gemäss werden solche feste Lösungen durch Glühen zersetzbarer Metallsalze erhalten.
Nachdem die derart. erhaltenen Oxyde nicht eine Verbindung nach molekularem Verhältnis der beiden Komponenten darstellen, ist es möglich, auf diese Weise Oxyde verschiedener Zusammensetzung herzustellen.

The use of tin, zircon. Antimony, titanium oxide and the like are known as opacifiers for the production of white enamels. The present invention relates to a process for producing white enamels using solid solutions of these oxides and their compounds with alkaline earths, the alkaline earth content being below the normal molecular ratio. Such solid solutions differ from a chemical compound in this way. that the components do not occur according to molecular proportions and can be adjusted as required. According to the invention, such solid solutions are obtained by calcining decomposable metal salts.
After that. Oxides obtained do not represent a compound according to the molecular ratio of the two components, it is possible to prepare oxides of different compositions in this way.
