Castle, especially for bicycles and the like.
The invention relates to locks for bicycles and the like, in which a locking rod is used which is secured against removal by resilient locking elements and which is triggered by a socket wrench pushing back the locking elements. The new thing is that the socket wrench is coupled with the locking rod in such a way that the pulled out parts form a whole and do not come loose easily. This is achieved in that, on the one hand, the locking rod is secured against rotation in the lock by a lug engaging in a cutout of the housing and, on the other hand, the locking pins arranged on the locking rod are guided in grooves in the socket wrench, which are initially parallel to the longitudinal axis, but then not. as in the known way, run vertically, but rising to the side.
As a result, after inserting the key by turning it, a locking rod and key securely connecting tightening is achieved so that they form a whole.
The pins provided on the locking rod also serve in a known manner, due to their different arrangement, both with regard to their position in relation to one another and with regard to their distance from the front end of the locking rod, to increase security against unauthorized opening.
In the drawing, such a lock is shown, for example, as a bicycle lock, namely Fig. 1 shows in a view the arrangement of the lock on the frame structure next to the chain wheel sitting on the rear wheel axle, while Fig. 2 and 3 the individual parts of the lock in their position to each other can be seen in the cut.
The lock consists of the lock housing a, which is arranged on one side of the wheel on the frame structure, as well as the abutment b intended for the Sperratab, which is located on the other side of the frame structure, and the locking rod c, which is in the inserted state between the wheel spokes and thus causes the wheel to be locked. The socket wrench d intended for removing the locking rod is shown outside the lock.
In Fig. 3, the lock is shown at the moment in which the socket wrench has caused the locking members f to be pushed back so that the locking rod c can be pulled out.
The actual lock consists of a sleeve h accommodated in the housing a, which has a longitudinal slot i which can be seen in FIG. 1 and which is intended for the nose k located on the locking bar c. Because when the locking rod is inserted, its nose k is in the slot i

If the locking rod c is then inserted into the sleeve, the locking members f are pressed outward until the locking rod c is completely inserted. If this is done, then the locking members can. f against the determined by removing the for the socket wrench

Apply along part of the groove in order to then reach the sloping ends of the grooves for the suit). In this way, the key is securely coupled to the locking rod, since the locking rod cannot rotate as a result of the nose k.
It should also be mentioned that the lock can also be used for any other, arbitrary purpose through a suitable design of the housing, just as the arrangement of the lock on bicycles is also possible elsewhere, for example on the upper part of the rear fork.
