Electric cable for explosive charges.
The subject of the invention is an electrical ignition line for explosive charges, in which one wire of the return line combined in a cable in a known manner is passed through the entire length of the line without interruption, while the connection points in the other wire are arranged at any spacing so that when the line is pulled, the continuous wire has to absorb the tensile stress.
In the case of the known continuous electrical lines with connection points arranged at any distance, the cable containing the two lines consists of individual pieces connected to one another by contacts, and the individual exposed connection points are connected in parallel so that such lines cannot be used outdoors because by stepping on them moisture short-circuit can occur. In addition, the individual sections of the line, if they are easily detachably connected to one another by plug contacts, are not secured against tensile stress.
With the new line, on the other hand, a short circuit cannot be caused by moisture and the like and the connection points of one wire are completely relieved by the other wire, so that the connection points can never be separated even if the line is pulled strongly.
The drawing shows in
Fig. 1 the electrical line connected to a glow igniter,
Fig. 2 shows the connection of the line via the take-up reel after the ignition apparatus.
The lead wire b and return wire c are combined in the cable a. The wire b is interrupted at the points marked d and the abutting ends are connected to one another by the plug parts e, f.
EMI1.1
which initially lies with the glow igniter in question, the connection with the wires must be released and the connection with the glow igniter g needs to be made, as the drawing shows, in order to obtain a quick and secure connection to the glow igniter. The other wire k bridges the connection created in this way at this point, so that a pull on the cable cannot act on the connection point.
The cable a is wound in a known manner on a roll I, on one end wall of which two conductive rings 111 and n are attached. The forward line b stands with the ring n
EMI1.2
the slide springs p and o, which are connected to the ignition apparatus by means of the terminals q and p and the plug s, are placed.
