Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Isolierkörper   aus tierischem Haar.
 EMI1.1

B. heiss gegerbten, also vollkommen ontfetteten Filz.

    Insulating body made from animal hair.
 EMI1.1
 Hair tanned hot according to the invention and completely degreased used.

   As an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, a tubular insulating body is shown in the drawing, but the insulating body can also be produced in plates or any other shape.

   According to the invention, completely defatted animal hair, e.g. B. hot tanned, so completely ontfetteten felt. By completely degreasing the individual hairs or fibers are freed from the pulp and form hollow rods filled with air, so that each individual hair represents an air-insulating body.

   The insulator 1 can be equipped on the inside in a known manner with an insert or a coating made of non-combustible material or material that does not suffer from the heat, i.e. asbestos, asbestos cardboard, an asbestos paste coating or the like. As is customary, a bandage 3 made of textile material, cardboard or another suitable material, which surrounds the animal fiber material, is arranged on the outside. The animal hair can also be arranged in several layers and an insulating binder, e.g. B. water glass with graphite or kieselgnrteig, paste, dextrin or the like., Introduce. To the insulator even at higher temperatures, so z.

   B. in steam lines for superheated steam to be able to use, it is useful to place between the inner protective layer 2 and the object to be isolated, for. B. the steam pipe to arrange air layers in a known manner, which are provided by the arrangement of webs or rings 6 at a corresponding distance from each other.
