   Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Messgefäss für die an sich bekannten Apparate zur Bestimmung von kohlensaurem Kalk im Ackerboden. 



   Das Gefäss b wird in bekannter Weise mit Wasser gefüllt und in dasselbe durch das Rohr a die in dem Entwickler entwickelte Kohlensäure eingeleitet. Das Wasser steigt aus dem Gefäss b durch ein Steigrohr nach dem mit Skala versehenen Messzylinder   c. ;  
Das kennzeichnende Merkmal der Erfindung besteht nun darin, dass das Steigrohr   c,   nicht mehr gerade, sondern in seinem unteren Teile d oder auf seiner ganzen Länge spiralig gewunden ist. 



   Die Spirale kann, wie es die Zeichnung darstellt, eine konische Schraubenspirale sein, sie kann aber auch als zylindrische Schraubenspirale ausgebildet werden oder schliesslich auch so hergestellt sein, dass die Spiralwindungen in einer Ebene liegen. 



   Bei Verwendung des graden Rohres wurde bei dem plötzlichen Übertritt der Kohlensäure in den Behälter b das in diesem befindliche Wasser oft so schnell durch das Steigrohr a nach oben gedrückt, dass es infolge der lebendigen Kraft, die es erhielt,   häufig   aus dem Messzylinder c   überfloss.   Bei Verwendung des spiralig gebogenen Rohres a wird dagegen die Geschwindigkeit des Wassers von vornherein so herabgemindert, dass es nur ganz langsam in dem   Messzylinder   c hochsteigt. 



   An den Behälter   b   kann noch ein zweites   Rohr f   angebracht sein, weiches zum Ablassen der Kohlensäure dient.
