Zom Unterschied von den bekannten Schraubknöpfen für Kleider, bei denen die Schraubverbindung lediglich zum Befestigen der Knöpfe dient, die dann in ein Knopfloch eingeknöpft oder zur Befestigung eines anderen Teiles (z. B. Hosenträger) dienen, sind gemäss vorliegender Erfindung die beiden Teile eines Schraubknopfes an den miteinander zu verbindenden Stoftstücken oder dgl. einzeln befestigt, und zwar so, dass behufs Verbindung der beiden Stoffteile der Oberteil auf den Unterteil aufgeschraubt werden kann. Zu diesem Zwecke ist die Schraubenkappe drehbar mit einer Befestigungsscheibe verbunden.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht einen solchen Verschluss im Querschnitt.
Der Unterteil besteht aus der Grundplatte a mit Schraubbolzen b, der Oberteil aus der Grundplatte c und der eigentlichen Schraubenkappe d. Die Grundplatte besteht zweckmässig aus zwei Halbringen und hat eine innere Rille f, in welche die Schraubenkappe eingesetzt ist, so dass sie gedreht werden kann, ohne dass sich die an den Stoff angenähte Grundplatte c mitdreht.

In contrast to the known screw buttons for dresses, in which the screw connection is only used to attach the buttons, which are then buttoned into a buttonhole or used to attach another part (e.g. braces), the two parts of a screw button are according to the present invention individually attached to the pieces of fabric or the like to be connected to one another, in such a way that the upper part can be screwed onto the lower part for the purpose of connecting the two fabric parts. For this purpose the screw cap is rotatably connected to a fastening disk.
The drawing illustrates such a closure in cross section.
The lower part consists of the base plate a with screw bolts b, the upper part consists of the base plate c and the actual screw cap d. The base plate expediently consists of two half-rings and has an inner groove f into which the screw cap is inserted so that it can be rotated without the base plate c sewn to the fabric rotating with it.
