Das in dem Stammpatente Nr. 57422 beschriebene Verfahren lässt sich auch in der Weise ausführen, dass der Kampfer durch Naphtalin oder sonstige zyklische Kohlenwasserstoffe (z. B. Kumol) oder Ester (z. B. Essig-, Benzoe-, Milch-und Salizylsäureester) ersetzt wird, soweit dieselben als Kampferersatzmittel in der Zelluloidiudustrie in Betracht kommen.
Im folgenden sind einige Vorschriften zur praktischen Ausführung des Verfahrens angefuhrt. Die angegebenen Zahlen sollen keine Grenzwerte bedeuten, vielmehr können die Ansätze je nach der beabsichtigten Qualität der herzustellenden Waren auch noch entsprechend abgeändert worden. Auch ist es keineswegs nötig, stets die genannten Härtungsmittel anzuwenden, os können auch andere Härtungsmittel und Gemische von solchon benutzt werden. Auch die Menge des zuzusetzenden Härtungsmittels kann je nach Auswahl der sonstigen Zusätze und je nach der beabsichtigton Konsistenz des herzustellenden Produkts verringert oder auch noch wesentlich vermehrt werden.

The method described in the parent patent no. 57422 can also be carried out in such a way that the camphor is replaced by naphthalene or other cyclic hydrocarbons (e.g. cumene) or esters (e.g. acetic, benzoic, lactic and salicylic acid esters ) is replaced insofar as they can be used as camphor substitutes in the celluloid industry.
In the following, some regulations for the practical implementation of the method are given. The figures given are not intended to represent limit values; rather, the approaches can also be modified accordingly depending on the intended quality of the goods to be manufactured. It is also by no means necessary to always use the hardening agents mentioned; other hardening agents and mixtures of these can also be used. The amount of hardening agent to be added can also be reduced or even increased significantly depending on the selection of the other additives and depending on the intended consistency of the product to be manufactured.
