Dämpfer für, Streichinstrumente.
Wie bekannt, wird derzeit das Abdämpfen von Tönen auf Streichinstrumenten in der Weise erzielt, dass auf den Steg ein Dämpfer geklemmt wird.
Das Aufsetzen des Dämpfers erfordert eine gewisse Zeit und ist daher eine momentane Aufeinanderfolge von starken (ungedämpften) und gedämpften Tönen unmöglich. Es ist daher ein Bedürfnis in der musikalischen Welt, eine Vorrichtung zu ersinnen, durch welche das Dämpfen während des Spieles, ohne einen Dämpfer aufsetzen zu müssen, ermöglicht wird.
Der Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine solche Vorrichtung und veranschaulicht Fig. 1 die Seitenansicht, Fig. 2 die Draufsicht.
Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 1 und 2 ist A eine mittels eines Knopfes B gehaltene Backe und überträgt die Darmsaite C den Zug im Sinne des Pfeiles.
In dem Teil y, der zwecks Anpassung an verschiedene Instrumente in der Hülse H \'' ['schiebbar gelagert ist, ist ein um die Achse A verdrehbares Exzenter D gelagert, das entweder durch die Saite C oder von Hand aus gedreht an den Teil E gedrückt wird, wodurch die Dämpfung erfolgt.
Mittels des Griffchens Cl, welches bei Verdrehung von Hand durch seinen exzentrischen Teil F den Teil D gegen E und diesen gegen den Steg drückt, wird eine andauernde Dämpfung erzielt.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : ]. Vorrichtung zur Dämpfung von Streichinstrumenten durch Anpressen eines Teiles gegen den ! Steg, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Übertragung des Kinnzuges durch eine Darmsaite crfoigt, damit keinerlei Störung der Schwingung des Instrumentes erfolge.

There is therefore a need in the musical world to devise a device by means of which damping is made possible during performance without having to put on a damper.
The subject of the present invention is such a device and illustrates FIG. 1 the side view, FIG. 2 the top view.
