Streichinstrument.
String instrument. There are musical instruments known in which the
Pressure of the string bridge from a transverse bridge arranged in the instrument, which is on a
longitudinal beam is seated, is recorded.
in größerem Maßstab.According to the invention, the transverse web is also a longitudinal one
Bass bar connected so that the pendulum motion of the crossbar directly hits the bass bar
transmitted and thereby a stronger jaw vibration is achieved. The bass bar
is straight or more or less curved in such a way that its ends into the centers of vibration
of the resonance surfaces.
One such string instrument is shown in the drawing
shown, namely: Fig. I a soundboard from the inside, Fig. z and 3 details
on a larger scale.
Inside the instrument , a longitudinal beam b is attached to the soundboard a, which has a cutout d at the attachment point of the web c, through which a transverse beam e attached to the ceiling a is passed, which sits loosely on the longitudinal beam b or is firmly attached to it is connected, so that when the strings are stretched, the bridge pressure is transmitted to the transverse beam e and from this to the longitudinal beam b . The longitudinal beam b is attached in the central axis of the soundboard a, ie in the neutral zone of the vibrations, whereby the bridge pressure is absorbed by the longitudinal beam b, completely harmless to the soundboard vibration. Due to this longitudinal bar, the bridge pressure is not, as before, on the bass bar g and the sound post! distributed, which were thereby inhibited in the oscillation, which has a poor sound reproduction result, but the bridge pressure is absorbed by the longitudinal beam b without the soundboards would be affected. The longitudinal beam b can also be only partially connected to the ceiling a by being provided with recesses f. The longitudinal beam can also be attached to the front timbers of the instrument, where it runs under the ceiling a with a certain distance, while it is firmly connected to the transverse beam e. The length of bar b can be any length, as can that of bar e. The transverse beam can also be replaced by a corresponding widening and reinforcement of the longitudinal beam. The bass bar g is bent in such a way that its ends lead into the centers of vibration of the soundboards, whereby the vibration of the same is significantly increased.
