Schnecken8ortierer.

Auger sorter.
The present invention relates to improvements in auger sorters for grain and other granular substances for separating round bodies of the type made known by the German patent no. 102736, in which the sorting is carried out by a fixed, auger-shaped slideway wound around a column.
However, these screw sorters are still imperfect in that it has not yet been possible to regulate the inlet in such a way that the inlet opening cannot be clogged and, secondly, that the weight ratio of the round grains to be separated out is not regulated in a way that is sufficient in practice can.
The present invention solves these two requirements in a simple way, namely the former in that the distribution cone arranged under the inlet funnel is rotatably mounted with its axis in the upper end of the screw column, while on the other hand the partition wall arranged in the discharge channel is arranged laterally adjustable and on its upper edge is bent inwards, so that the grains of the second type rolling down at great speed cannot jump over into the outlet for the first type.
In the screw column f, an umbrella-shaped cone b is rotatably arranged on a shaft c, d at its upper end. The cone b itself is provided with curved, outwardly bulging jets, over which the grain flowing out of the funnel a flows and thus sets the cone with its axis o and its extension d in rotating motion like a turbine.
This co-rotating extension of the conical corrugation acts in the inlet opening of the funnel a in a known manner as a stirrer and flow regulator.
EMI1.1
The end is guided, rotatable and thereby allows the round grains rolling down the discharge channel 4 (distributed over the surface of the web according to their own weight) to intercept in any desired weight ratio.
Since the partition wall with its outer wall often opposes the naturally required path of the round grains rolling down, the grains caught inwards (the second variety) have the urgency in their movement to jump over the partition wall into the outlet for the first variety a bending of the partition wall on its upper side (running from the movable end to the pivot point) is prevented.
