Probe 3 a zeigt gegenüber der Probe 3
 EMI1.3

Process for the preparation of chloroform in a solid state.

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of chloroform in the solid state and consists in that the chloroform is bound to peptone.

It is already known to bind chloroform to proteins and rubber. Compared to this known process, the present process has the advantage that peptone is able to bind a considerably larger amount of chloroform than the binders already used, in particular other proteins.

The following parallel tests were carried out, the quantities to be processed and the properties of the starting materials being the same in each case. Once the binders in question were brought to dryness after adding water and a second time after adding water and adding chloroform at the same temperatures and until the weight was constant. The preparations were painted on glass plates
 EMI1.1
 with 90g water gave 48g dry preparation. 5. 100 9 peptones mixed with 90 g water resulted in 95 9 dry preparation.
 EMI1.2
Water and Ion 9 chloroform gave 119 g dry preparation.

Sample la shows a weight increase of 2y compared to sample 1. Sample 2a shows a weight increase of 1 g compared to sample 2. Sample 3 shows a comparison with sample 3
 EMI1.3
results in significantly more chloroform for peptone. even if you convert all the figures to the same weight of dry end products.

The process is carried out in such a way that peptone is mixed with water to form a viscous paste and mixed in a mortar with approximately the same volume of chloroform. The amount of chloroform corresponds to an excess of chloroform which, however, has proven to be useful in order to completely saturate the peptone with chloroform. After the chloroform and the peptone have been completely mixed, the excess chloroform, which can condense, is evaporated.
