 EMI1.1

Zwecke nutzbar machen, z. B. zum Heizen einer gleichen Verdampfstation.

 EMI1.1

It is well known that when salt solutions are evaporated in vacuum apparatus for the production of table salt, a heavy salt is obtained, while in apparatuses which work without air dilution, i.e. in so-called open evaporation pans, light salt is produced. Since, on the one hand, the heat consumption of open pans is greater than that of vacuum digesters, and, on the other hand, a salt is required for some purposes that is lighter than vacuum salt but heavier than pan salt, the aim of the invention is to create a device for the production of a medium-weight salt while maintaining it the benefits of vacuum evaporation.

According to this invention, a vacuum apparatus b is connected on the one hand by means of a barometric waste pipe c to an open evaporation pan a in such a way that the former is immersed in the liquid; On the other hand, the evaporation pan is connected to the vacuum apparatus b by a special pipeline d containing a pump or the like, for the purpose of returning the liquid from the evaporation pan to the vacuum apparatus.

This device now allows the brine to be evaporated alternately in the vacuum evaporator and in an evaporator device that works without air dilution, i.e. in the open pan, and the lye obtained from the vacuum evaporator with the crystals formed or a portion of this to be introduced into the open evaporation pan, so that crystals which are composed of heavy and light layers. With the present device it is irrelevant whether the evaporation of the salt solution is carried out first in the open pan or in a vacuum apparatus.

With this device, the heating elements required for both evaporation stages can be replaced by a single one, which is arranged either in the open evaporation pan a, in the vacuum apparatus b or in the pipe d leading from the pan to the vacuum apparatus. The saline solution that evaporates in the vacuum apparatus must be brought to a temperature by the heating element that is the same as in the
Vacuum apparatus corresponds to the prevailing evacuation, so that the introduced salt solution evaporates quickly.

The evaporation produced in the individual evaporation stages can be used for any
Making purposes usable, e.g. B. for heating the same evaporation station.
