Luftgasapparat.

Air gas apparatus.
This invention relates to an apparatus for generating and storing air gas for lighting, cooking, heating or other purposes, in which the air to be carburized is mixed with the carburizing liquid in a carburizing vessel and is automatically extracted from this vessel by suction Way is promoted in one or more gas containers. The subject of the invention is illustrated on the drawing in a view with partial section.
The system consists of an upright carburizing vessel 1, which is traversed by a vertical tube 2 which ends slightly below the lid 3 of the vessel 1.
Around this central air supply pipe 2 is a grater of roof-shaped or similarly shaped plates 4 in an inclined and spiral arrangement by soldering or in some other way

Instead of. of the mechanism consisting of the links 31 and 34, the lever 25 and the rod 8, a rack with a toothed wheel or some other gear and finally a crank rod for moving the gas collector bell 9 up and down can also be used.
An arm J5 is attached to the upper end of the rod 8, at the free end of which a Rt. 36 is connected, which through a stuffing box 37 in the feed container for the carburizing liquid

Bell 16 is a valve which is opened when the pressure inside the bell 9 drops below the pressure of the gas-air mixture in the tube 16 coming from the carburator, ie when the bell 9 is praised.
From the gas collecting space 9 of the container a pipe 20 leads to a second gas collector 22, in which it ends above the liquid level in a vessel 17 of the same device as that already described; A loaded bell 21 also plunges into this vessel 77, which also works as a valve in the manner described above and is then opened when the pressure inside the bell 22 is lower than within the bell 9, i.e. when the bell 9 is under corresponding compression of the air gas is moved down. In the same way, this second gas collector bell can be connected to a third collector, possibly with a series of further collectors; the gas is from the last or one

set out by means of the discharge pipe 23.
This arrangement ensures that when the first gas collector bell 9 is raised. a suction effect occurs, as a result of which air gas enters the large mocks 9 through the small bell 16. During the lowering of the bell 9, the air gas contained in it is pressed into the next gas collector 22 and from there through pipe 23 into the following gas collector. to the burners or other consumption points, the small vessels 16 and 21 in the mercury containers 17 acting as automatic shut-off valves which prevent the gas from flowing back out of the collecting containers 9, 22.
The pipe 27, which feeds the water to operate the motor 26, can be equipped with a shut-off device 28 which is connected by a lever 29 to the gas collector bell 22, so that when the latter rises to a predetermined height due to the gas collector being filled, the Water flow to the engine is shut off and no more gas is conveyed into containers 9 and 22. If enough gas is withdrawn from the container 22 and if it sinks, the shut-off device is opened again and the apparatus works again to convey gas into the containers 9 and 22.
The vessels 17 with the mercury filling and the bells 16 respectively. 21 can also be switched on outside of the containers 9 and 22 and in any arrangement in the relevant pipelines, only the pipe mouths would have to be within the bell to be fed. Instead of the arrangement described, two gas collectors 9 can also be connected to a carburizing
