Der dargestellte Apparat, welcher höher als der zu speisende Dampfkessel aufzustellen ist, wirkt auf folgende Weise:The apparatus shown, which is to be set up higher than the steam boiler to be fed, acts in the following way:

Das in dem Behälter J befindliche Wasser fällt durch das Ventil g in den zu speisenden Kessel und der Schwimmer α sinkt nach unten. Unten angekommen, stöfst der Schwimmer auf den Knaggen/" und schliefst das Dampfventil b. Dann öffnet sich Ventil Ar, Ventil g schliefst sich, Wasser strömt ein und der Schwimmer hebt sich, bis er an den Knaggen d stöfst u. s. w., wie vorhin.The float α always has the height corresponding to the water level in the container J.
