EMI1.1

Fig. 3,4 und 6 sind Details.

haspeln, sondern wiederum leicht herabgleiten.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

EMI1.1
The subject of the present invention relates to a machine for turning various agricultural products, in particular seed clover, pods and other seeds, while drying the same. The machine is constructed in the manner of the known turning machines with parallel, eccentrically mounted supports arranged at an angle to the direction of travel for attaching the turning prongs: however, according to the invention, the same is set up in such a way that the prongs follow at an angle in addition to the forward movement during work
EMI1.2
Carry out vertical movement in the direction of travel. The consequence of this is that the mowing material is turned in the shortest possible way, which means that the peeling of the seeds is limited and little force is used.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in two embodiments, namely FIG. 1 shows a plan view, FIG. 2 shows a partial view from the rear of the one embodiment, and FIG. 5 shows a plan view of the second embodiment. Figures 3, 4 and 6 are details.
The machine consists of a chassis A and the actual turning device B, the latter is arranged sideways behind the chassis and is driven by the wheel a. For this purpose, the chassis A is equipped with a sideways and obliquely rearward-facing carrier b, which carries a support wheel c on the free rear end, so that the turning device B mounted on the carrier b is always carried at the same height above the ground.
According to the first embodiment (Fig. 1, 2), the turning device consists of two identical star-like carriers d, e, which are mounted on the carrier b parallel and eccentric to each other and at an angle to the direction of travel. For the purpose of eccentric mounting of the carrier d, e is the

reel, but again slide down easily.
The prongs J and. 5 'move when the machine is moving with the entire turning device forward (direction 1) and as a result of the rotary movement of the carriers d, I of the gear ratio 6 and 7 around in a circle (direction II, Fig. 1) during work (If-IV) askew backwards.
The relationship between these two movements is such. that the projection of the oblique decline y on the direction of travel is the same as that at the same time. exerted forward movement x of the machine, so that the tines neither move forward x nor move backward y, but only move z to the side, which means that the worn material that has been caught by the tines, is turned sideways on the shortest path.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In this way, both the front tines 5 and the rear tines 5 'function. The front tines 5 take the plants from the strip of land n (Fig. 1) and throw them sideways behind the chassis on the field strip m while turning and loosening. The field stripe m is covered, the stripe n cleared. Immediately thereafter, the plants are thrown from the soil strip o through the rear tines J 'onto the latter, and the strip o now remains free for the support wheel c and the subsequent journey.
The tine arms 4, 4 'can be connected to the cranks f either firmly (FIG. 1) or by means of hinges 10 (FIG. 3); in this second case the direction of the tines can be changed. This means that the plants can either be thrown vertically to the side or slightly backwards.
According to the second embodiment, the turning device also consists of two carriers d, e and the rake including tines 5. On the carrier b, which is supported by the chassis A and the support wheel c
EMI2.1
sits on an adjustable eccentric 12 through which the sleeve 11 passes loosely. In the arm ends of the beams d, e cranks f are used in the same way, to which long spindles 4 are connected next to the beam, which are stiffened at the other ends by the beam d '. The spindles 4 consist of two flat iron rails, between which adjustable and removable prongs 5 are inserted.
This apparatus works in a similar way to the one described above. The row of tines 5a, which comes into operation when the apparatus rotates, is also moved with the machine forwards (x-x) and at the same time obliquely backwards - so that it moves to the side in the resultant z-z; The row of tines grabs the mowed plants on area I and lays them to the side on area II, covering the empty strip m behind the chassis and at the same time creating a new empty strip o for the support wheel and the subsequent journey.
(In the drawing Fig. 5, the areas I and II are indicated by dash-dotted lines.)
This embodiment has the advantage that it is simpler, works over a greater width, and that the tines can be easily raised for driving on the paths by adjusting the eccentric 12.
The prongs 5 can be constructed in various ways. 4 and 6, spiral-shaped resilient prongs made of wire are shown as an example.
PATENT CLAIMS: l. Turning machine for clover and the like with two parallel, eccentric to each other and obliquely to the direction of travel mounted carriers including cranks and tines, characterized in that the forward movement of the machine and the inclined decline of the rake when reaching into the mown material are in such a relationship that the projection of the oblique decline onto the direction of travel is the same as the distance covered by the machine at the same time, so that the rakes, when reaching into the cut material, perform a movement that is perpendicular to the direction of travel and thus the shortest movement.
