Behandelt man 4-Chlor-6-nitro-1-aminobenzol mit Formaldehyd, so erhält man ein Kondensationsprodukt, dem vermutlich die Formel zukommt.

Die Kondensation kann in der verschiedensten Weise, z. B. in Gegenwart \on Alkohol, Wasser usw. vorgenommen werden.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass sich dieses neue Kondensationsprodnkt in hervorragender Weise zur Herstellung von Farblacken eignet. Diese Lacke zeichnen sich durch eine schone. leuchtend rötlich gelbe Nuance und ganz hervorragend gute Lichtechtheit aus.
Beispiel 345 Teile einer lOprozentigen Paste von 4-Chlor-6-nitro-I-aminobenzol werden mit 30 Teilen einer 30prozentigen Formaldehydlösung versetzt und in einem geschlossenen Gefäss unter Rühren solange auf 90-95'erwärmt, bis keine diazotierbare Substanz mehr nachzuweisen ist. Nach dem Erkalten wird abgesaugt, mit Wasser gewaschen und entweder bei gelinder Wärme getrocknet oder in Pastenform gebracht. Das so erhaltene leuchtend rötitchgelbe Produkt ist unlöslich in Wasser und wenig löslich in den gebrauch-
