   Um Eisenmöbel widerstandsfähiger und haltbarer zu machen, werden dieselben an den Kanten mit Rohren von beliebigem Querschnitt verbunden. Dadurch wird zwar eine gewisse Steifigkeit erzielt, doch ist diese Versteifungsart aus dem Grunde, weil mehrere getrennte Teile miteinander verbunden werden müssen, keine sehr gute, insbesondere dann, wenn die Verbindung keine tadellose ist. 



   Es ist ferner bekannt, die Kanten von Eisenmöbeln durch Ausgestaltung des dieselben bildenden Bleches zu Verstärkungswulsten von beliebigem Querschnitt zu verstärken. 



  Auch durch diese Einrichtung wird nur eine verhältnismässig geringe Verstärkung erzielt weil die Wulste leicht aufgehen. 



   Der Erfindung gemäss wird eine gut haltbare   Kantenverstärkung   bei Eisenbetten dadurch erzielt, dass die aus dem Material   gebildeten Verstärkungswulste   durch Schweissen, Löten, Nieten und dergl. zu einem Rohr geschlossen sind.
