EMI1.1
In the case of incandescent steam lamps, in which the steam-air mixture is fed to the burner through a continuously curved burner or mixing tube directly or indirectly attached to the evaporator, the problem has arisen as a result of the low pressure under which such lamps operate the flow resistance occurring in the mixing tube affects the effectiveness of the lamp. Only insufficient air is sucked in at the nozzle, so that only an imperfect combustion takes place and the Lampo soots as a result. If you want to increase the effect of the lamp, a gradual widening of the mixing tube from the evaporator towards the burner is necessary, which reduces the flow resistance.
In the drawing, a lamp according to the present invention is shown schematically in section. Above the glowing body, the evaporator A is arranged, at the nozzle B of which the continuously curved burner or mixing tube C is attached, which leads to the burner head D.

Steam jet air is sucked in and mixed with the steam jet. The burner tube can be curved both upwards and downwards, depending on whether it is an invert or an upright lamp. In both cases, however, the mixing tube is widened too gradually towards the burner head. The incandescent body itself is surrounded by a transparent hollow body or cylinder.
The lower part of the lamp is also closed by a hollow glass hemisphere, which prevents damage to the incandescent

should prevent. The cylinder surrounding the incandescent body protects this glass hemisphere from the heat of the incandescent body.
