Abstract

The needle plate (1) for a twin- or triple-needle interlock sewing machine, to sew a chain stitch seam with two or three threads, has two or three needle holes (2) with a forwards stitching tongue (3) between each pair of holes in the direction (V) of fabric travel.    Dieses Ansammeln zweier oder mehrerer Fadenschlingen F verhindert das Auftreten grösserer Fadenspannungen im Schlingenbildungsbereich und   gewährleis-   tet so auf einfache Weise die Herstellung einer gleichmässigen und spannungsfreien Kettenstichnaht bester Elastizitätseigenschaften.
