Description
The present invention relates to a sewing machine with a web gripper oscillating in a vertical plane according to the preamble of
Sewing machines with oscillating web grippers are known. Oscillating web grippers (CB grippers) have the great advantage over other gripper systems that the upper thread loop around the gripper and the bobbin case is not twisted, and that the free thread passage between the gripper and driver finger is ensured by the reverse movement of the driver and gripper without special aids . Such grippers are therefore generally very insensitive to thread tension and result in a beautiful and even seam.
CB-Greifer eine gegenseitige Reibung zwischen den verschiedenen Fadenschenkeln auf, deren Stärke in Abhängigkeit von den Nähbedingungen (Stichart, Stichlänge, Stichbreite, Fadenbeschaffenheit, Nähgeschwindigkeit etc.) unterschiedlich sein kann und sich unter gewissen Voraussetzungen nachteilig auf das Nähergebnis auswirkt.CB looper creates a mutual friction between the different thread legs, the strength of which depends on the sewing conditions (stitch type, stitch length, stitch width, thread quality, sewing speed, etc.) can be different and, under certain conditions, has an adverse effect on the sewing result.
As is known, the upper thread loop in CB hooks is completely guided around the hook body and the bobbin case with the bobbin thread contained therein and dropped shortly before the hook turning point. The loop is now drawn into the material by the thread lever. Primarily the front thread leg of the sling, which leads to the needle, is pulled up, while the thread leg behind the hook behaves almost passively. The lower thread leading from the bobbin case to the underside of the material to be sewn runs between the two thread legs and normally does not hinder the thread feed. If the stitch length and width are large, the needle sticks at the transition from the right-hand stitch to the left-hand stitch behind the lower thread running between the bobbin case and the material to be sewn. As a result, the upper thread loops around the lower thread after the loop is thrown off, which causes additional thread friction on the front thread leg of the upper thread loop. This will pull up the back leg of the upper thread faster. At medium to high sewing speeds, this does not have any effect because the stitch formation process takes place very quickly and the rear thread leg is too sluggish to deal with the additional friction of the front leg on the lower thread react. At low sewing speeds, the threads rub against each other longer and more slowly, which means that the static friction component has a greater effect than the sliding friction component. The rear thread leg of the upper thread loop is pulled up too quickly, with the result that the thread is not completely drawn into the material and a "loose stitch" is created. Loose stitches of this type usually appear very irregularly and impair the good appearance of the seam.
US 4 095 539).In other gripper systems, attempts have been made to reduce the disadvantageous influence of this friction to an acceptable level by suitable means (DE-GM 70 16 286, US 4 095 539).
It is not possible to transfer these agents to oscillating web grippers because the different gripper systems differ fundamentally from one another functionally.
A CB gripper with brake means arranged on the gripper driver for the rear leg of the upper thread loop has indeed become known (DE-OS 33 42 770). However, the brake means on the gripper driver can only be produced with great effort and the required, relatively low braking force can only be reasonably reproduced in series production by means of complex adjustment operations.
The invention aims to provide a means that the Bil prevents loose stitches when sewing slowly, without compromising the quality of the seam. Furthermore, the object of the invention is to design the means to be created in such a way that it can be produced inexpensively and acts on the upper thread loop with a reproducible or constant braking force.
According to the invention, these objects are achieved according to the characterizing features of
With the swiveling bracket on the hook back, the upper thread loop can be held under constant tension during stitch formation without affecting the stitch quality.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.
The nose on the bracket, which is inclined towards the back of the hook, safely guides the rear upper thread leg shortly before being dropped by the hook so that it can be held back by the angled end.
Thanks to the helical section of the spring, which is held at one end by the U-shaped end in the mandrel of the gripper, several millions of swiveling movements can be carried out with the bracket without the spring breaking due to material fatigue.
Another advantage of the invention is the low mass of the bracket, which is designed as a wire loop or thin sheet metal, because this essentially ver can return to the starting position without hesitation after braking.
The U-shaped end of the spring is advantageously either attached to a pin lying transversely to the bore in the mandrel or snapped into two grooves on the side of the bore.

Figur 2 ).FIG. 2 shows a
The operation of the
The loop of the
