Abstract

Round timber is divided in a core-free manner by longitudinal cuts into two half-round timber elements 2, and the half-round timber elements 2 are then economically square-edged on two sides. The half-round timber elements 2 are positioned vertically against one another with the core side towards the outside and are nailed on the inside to horizontal connecting strips 5. This produces the exterior timber wall which bears the entire construction load and can be produced as a prefabricated panel. The wall is sealed in relation to rainwater and wind by elastic sealing strips 8 and joint strips 4 which are nailed on at the vertical joints. In order to increase the heat insulation, lightweight concrete slabs 11 may be fastened on the inside of the wall, the cavities which form between the lightweight concrete slabs 11 and the half-round timber elements 2 being filled with comminuted bound wood waste 12. <IMAGE>

The well-known horizontal log wood profiles for wooden outer walls, which usually carry the load, require very thick logs for their production, and the four processing steps result in considerable amounts of wood waste.
 EMI1.1
lieBel block wall thicknesses of less than 14 cm also require high-quality insulating panels for thermal insulation, mostly on a plastic basis.

In the Austrian Patent Schnft No. 380713, the wooden building

net and carrying loads. There is no functional similarity to Austrian Patent No. 380713.

The new vertical wooden block construction for the outer walls of the building, essentially made of wood, consists of weaker roundwood thinning wood, produced from conventional woodworking machines, whereby the wood waste of all types resulting from only three processing steps (compared to four to five processing steps as before), all of them as fully-fledged insulating building materials from the building wall Wood is filled.

An exemplary embodiment shows: According to Flg. 1 and Fig. 2, the cane with 20 cm or 18 cm braid thickness on a frame saw with four saw blades in two equal half-round timbers (2) 7.5 cm thick or 6.5 cm thick and the heartwood board (3) 1.2 cm thick , Sawn in one step and then air-dried.

The over-dried logs (2) are trimmed on both sides to 18.5 cm and 16. 5 cm using a double edging saw, then planed on the heartwood side.

A three cm wide joint strip (4) is nailed onto one side of each half-round timber (2). Four pieces of semicircular wood (2) are placed close together and nailed together on their flattened side using horizontal connecting strips (5) to form 65 cm wide wooden building boards. The 1.5 cm thick, elastic plastic cords (8) are pressed into the 1.2 cm wide, vertical joints of the half-round timber (2).

The cavity between the semicircular timbers (2) and the light concrete slab (11) is filled with the insulating, dried wood waste (12) that has been shredded to bean size
The wooden building panels made with four semicircular timbers (2) support the entire building load vertically with the most economical wood expenditure and the least possible wood waste, without the need for a supporting timber frame.

The thickness of the semicircular timbers (2) results from the static calculation of the building load according to the buckling load formula.

The long-term protection against weathering on the wooden outer wall is created by the tight, hard, resin-rich wood annual length of the core-separated semicircular timbers (2) Drying runs in the direction of the circular wooden annual length. The maintenance costs of the crack-free wooden outer wall are therefore low.

The wood waste generated when sawing the cane into ready-to-install semicircular timbers (2)
 EMI1.3
 Exterior wall filled.

The total thickness of the new semicircular wood outer wall is approximately 22 cm. It has the following advantages: You only need wood from within the country, there is less waste, and the fewer number of processing steps saves energy, and there is also the advantage of the short construction time due to the panel construction.
