Description

 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The subject matter of the invention is a ball guide ring for ball race bearings, which can be used in single or multiple row ball bearings. It consists essentially of a corrugated, suitably resilient sheet metal strip or ring, which contains the balls in its bends, thus partially encompassing them more or less, guiding them in the correct position and separating them from one another.

In the drawing, this cage ring is shown, for example, in one embodiment. Fig. 1 is a side view and partial section and Fig. 2 is a vertical cross section of a double row ball bearing equipped with a guide ring of the new type.

In the illustrated embodiment, two rows of balls b arranged offset to one another are provided between the outer race 9 and the inner one, d.

The ball cage ring consists of a ring e made of sheet metal or similar, expediently resilient material and is bent in a wave-like manner. In the depressions thus formed, the balls are guided and separated from one another by the ring, depending on whether the waves are deeper or shallower. to a greater or lesser part of its scope.

If a ball tends to advance, it is therefore held back by the ring, the elasticity of the ring being advantageous in that it can yield to small fluctuations and irregularities in the course of the balls and bending is thus prevented.

In the embodiment, a ball of the one and the other ring are alternately contained in the recesses on both sides of the ring. In the case of single-row ball bearings, a similar arrangement can be selected, but for the sake of easy introduction of the ring, the installation is advantageously carried out in this way. How it arises if one row of balls is left out of the bearing shown, d. H. only the depressions on one side contain balls, and the depressions on both sides can also have different widths. The ball races can also be surrounded by rings of this type on both sides; this will be the case in the case of storage with three or more rows of balls in the middle.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Wave-shaped ball guide ring, characterized in that it encompasses the balls lying in its bends to such an extent that they are kept separated from each other only by the projecting designs with the connection of resilient guides only on the axis of rotation.
