Description
AT 397 887 BAT 397 887 B
The present invention relates to a protective cover for a passive infrared motion detector with the possibility of setting a monitoring area.
Ein stufenloses Herstellen beliebiger Erfassungswinkel ist mit dieser bekannten Abdeckblende nicht möglich.DE 37 22 362 A1 discloses a cover panel for passive infrared motion detectors which can be inserted into the window surface of the infrared entrance window, as a result of which the detection angle can be reduced. In addition, this cover panel is designed so that it can also accommodate segments of different widths, whereby further detection angles can be set. However, the variation in the detection angle is limited by the number of segments to the extent that they cannot be made as narrow as desired, since they still have to be provided with fitting grooves. A stepless production of any detection angle is not possible with this known cover panel.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a protective cover for passive infrared motion detectors, which both fulfills a protective function and enables a continuous monitoring area. This is achieved according to the invention in that the protective cover consists of a semicircular hood, which is open in the plug-on direction on the housing, is closed at its opposite end by a bottom, that it has a flat rear wall with an opening, so that it can be attached to the Housing locked with a cam on the rear wall of the housing, and that the hood is provided on its semicircular circumferential position at equal distances from one another with marked segments, which can be separated as desired on their markings or between them, in order to use one or more recesses obtained in this way to provide one or more Determine detection angle in order to obtain the desired monitoring area for the infrared motion detector.
The bottom of the hood preferably has a scale on the outside with an angular degree graduation. Furthermore, the markings by which the segments are formed can be formed as impressions.
Es zeigen:The present invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it:

Fig. 12 is a side view of the housing of FIG. 9, but partially cut with the hood snapped on.
21 to 4 shows, the protective cover according to the invention consists of a semicircular hood 3, which is open at one end, according to the bottom view FIG. 2, and is closed at its opposite end, according to the top view FIG. 3, by a base 4. The hood 3 consists essentially of the flat rear wall 5, the aforementioned floor 4 with an outside angle degree scale and the semicircular peripheral part. The rear wall 5 and the bottom 4 are formed so far towards the semicircular peripheral part that they form a frame for the peripheral part, which are shaped horizontally as a base 12 and vertically as a left and right side wall 13. Between these is the semicircular peripheral part, which consists of uniformly wide segments 9, which are characterized by embossed markings 10 and can be removed from them. The entire hood 3 consists of the same material from a plastic. As shown in FIGS. 5 to 8, the separated segments 9 form recesses 11, which in turn produce the desired detection angle or angles, which are shown graphically in FIGS. 5 A to 8 A as corresponding angles α. It is clear that the variety of possible configurations of detection angles can only be reproduced here by way of an example, since any conceivable angle setting can be carried out because, apart from the markings 10 provided, the segments 9 themselves can also be severed. 2nd
