Abstract
Description
AT 394 140 BAT 394 140 B
There are so-called driving ranges in golf, which serve to effectively learn the right golf swing. The golf ball is placed on a tee mat and knocked off by the golf club. Beginners often hit the ball and are difficult to find.
The training opportunity outdoors is very dependent on the weather. It is therefore desirable to find a way to practice the right tee in closed rooms.
The invention relates to a training device for ball games, in particular golf, in which a stationary ball can be struck, which on a holding element, for. B. cord, rope, cable or the like. Is attached and which is arranged in a housing, preferably a tube, attached to a support plate, in particular anchored and can be pulled out of this. In such training facilities, which were known for example from GB-PS 442 235 or US-PS 34 30 493, it is possible to automatically return the golf ball to the starting position after the tee, so that the ball is permanently playable. The use of such training facilities is practically possible everywhere, since the space requirement is extremely small. The training option is independent of the weather and also independent of the respective season.
In addition, it is not necessary to bend down to hit the ball correctly before the tee. In the known training facilities, the accommodation of a sufficient length of the holding element brings problems. For example, according to GB-PS 442 235, several deflection rollers are arranged in the housing, over which the holding element is guided. Several of these deflection rollers are plugged onto a common axis, two such axes equipped with deflection rollers being provided in the housing. One of them is held stationary in the housing, the other is mounted in a yoke which can be displaced in the housing against the force of a tension spring which is fixed in the housing with one of its ends. This embodiment is complicated and also requires a large housing for housing. The training device according to US Pat. No. 3,430,493 provides a flexible tether to which the ball is attached and which is attached to a rail which is displaceable in a longitudinal guide accommodated in the housing against the force of a tension spring located in the housing, from which one end is hooked to the rail and the second end is held stationary within the housing. The pull-out length of the tether is limited to the length of the longitudinal guide and is therefore short, since the length of the support plate to which the housing is fastened, which receives the longitudinal guide, is limited in order to ensure easy handling of the training device. From US-PS 20 52 988 an exercise device for the tee when playing golf was known, wherein a tubular housing of a spring balance is attached to the support plate. This spring balance has a piston which can slide in the tubular housing, the piston rod of which passes through a compression spring, one end of which is supported on the piston and the other end of which is supported on the sealing cover of the tubular housing. The piston rod holds the golf ball via a cord. The support plate can be fixed in the ground using anchor pins. After a stroke, the piston in the tubular housing is moved against the force of the spring and, during this movement, takes along a drag pointer which is guided in the tubular housing and which plays in front of a scale on which the force of the discount can be read due to the position of the drag pointer. This device also has a complicated structure, the movement being practically limited to the size of the stroke of the piston in the tubular (cylindrical) housing.
The object of the invention is to eliminate the shortcomings of the aforementioned training facilities. This is achieved in a training device for ball games, especially golf, in which a stationary ball can be struck, which is attached to a holding element, for. B. cord, rope, cable or the like. Which is arranged in a housing, preferably a pipe, attached to a support plate, in particular is anchored and can be pulled out of it if, according to the invention, the housing for the holding element is arcuate, is designed in particular as a pipe bend with legs inclined at approximately 90 ° to one another, preferably of equal length, and if preferably the housing of the holding element is in a recess in the support plate, for. B. made of foam, which is covered with a mat of artificial turf, the mat is provided with an opening through which the retaining element of the ball is threaded, and that in particular the opening of the mat is lined with a sleeve by the invention provided arcuate design of the housing of the holding element, a length of the holding element sufficient for training purposes can be accommodated in a support plate of handy dimensions, d. H. it is possible to accommodate a longer length of the holding element with the same space requirement compared to a straight housing. If the housing of the holding element is accommodated in a recess in the support plate, which can be made of foam and is therefore easy to machine, the housing is protected. In this way, damage to the housing, which can make it more difficult to pull the holding element out of the housing, can be avoided. If the support plate is covered with an artificial turf mat, the housing is even better protected. In addition, the mat simulates conditions that a golfer will find on the playground when teeing off. The sleeve lining the perforation of the mat reduces the frictional forces acting on the holding element.
In a special embodiment of the invention, the holding element is formed in a manner known per se from a rubber rope which is fastened with its end remote from the ball in the housing to a transverse or end wall of the housing. This represents a particularly simple way of realizing the basic idea of the invention, in which a housing part, namely an end or transverse wall of the housing, is used for fastening the rope. US Pat. No. 1,439,339 made it known to attach the ball of a training device to
Abhängig vom Material der Tragplatte werden auf den Gummischlauch beim Ausziehen aus der Aussparung der Tragplatte Reibungskräfte übertragen, die scheuernd auf die Schlauchoberfläche wirken.AT394 MOB to attach a rubber hose and insert the rubber hose directly into a straight recess in a carrier plate and anchor it to an extension of the carrier plate protruding into the recess by means of a loop at the end of the rubber hose. Depending on the material of the support plate, frictional forces are transmitted to the rubber hose when it is pulled out of the recess in the support plate, which have a scouring effect on the hose surface.
However, it is also possible to fasten the holding element in a manner known per se to one end of a tension spring, the second end of which is fastened in the housing. In this embodiment too, the holding element can be fastened by a tension element, for. B. a rubber rope. However, the holding element can also be formed by a cable that cannot be extended by train. With this arrangement, the spring can influence the overall elasticity of the assembly consisting of the spring and the holding element, so that it is possible to compensate for an insufficient longitudinal elasticity of the holding element.
For the purpose of resetting the holding element, an arrangement can also be provided in which the holding element has a spring arranged in the housing, for. B. a helical compression spring, which is supported on a housing-fixed stop or on a transverse wall of the housing. A helical compression spring, but also a plate spring can be used as the spring. Such disc springs can be accommodated in a space-saving manner.
Finally, a spiral spring can also be used as a restoring element for the ball. The retaining element is fastened in a manner known per se to one end of the spiral spring arranged in the housing with a spring axis arranged perpendicular to the supporting plate. The second spring end is fastened in the housing the starting position back. The use of spiral springs for retrieving the ball after a tee is known in practice facilities for the tee when playing golf. Such a device is shown, for example, in GB-PS 179478. The spiral spring acts on a winding spool for the cord to which the ball is attached. After tapping, the spiral spring is tensioned over the rotating winding spool, to which one end of the spring is attached. The second spring end is attached to the drum axis. The spring axis of the known device is arranged horizontally and parallel to the support plate which supports the bearing blocks of the winding spool. The known device builds up in height and takes up a lot of space. With the vertical arrangement of the spring axis, on the other hand, the space requirement is low in height.
The resistance when hitting the ball can also be generated in that the holding element is fastened to the piston of a known hydraulic or pneumatic damping piston-cylinder unit, the cylinder of which is formed by the housing of the holding element. The provision can be made by means of the damping piston in the direction its starting position influencing spring. This spring can be in a housing, i.e. H. be arranged in the cylinder of the damping piston and be supported at one end on the piston and at the other end on the housing.
In order to influence the damping, it can be provided in a special embodiment of the invention that a bypass line for the damping medium is connected to the cylinder of the damping piston-cylinder unit, which connects the cylinder spaces separated by the piston and that the cross section of the bypass line is changeable to change the damping resistance. Instead of a bypass line, however, the piston can be provided with through bores for the damping medium from one side of the piston to the other. The damping resistance can be influenced depending on the total cross section of these holes.
A special embodiment of the training device according to the invention provides that the holding element is guided in a meandering manner over rollers, the axes of which are movably mounted transversely to the longitudinal axis thereof in the housing against the force of a spring acting on them. This arrangement allows a long piece of the holding element to be accommodated in the housing.
The invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a first embodiment in a longitudinal section, FIGS. 2-7 show different variants of the training device shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 8 shows a side view of the training device arranged on a tee mat.
In the drawing, (1) denotes a ball, which can be a golf ball, for example. This ball is fastened to a holding element (2) which passes through a housing (3) formed in the exemplary embodiment as a tube and can be pulled out of this housing. The holding element can be designed as a longitudinally elastic rope, cable or the like. If the holding element (2) is designed as a rubber rope, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the holding element is fixed with its end remote from the ball to an end wall (4) of the housing. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, this end wall is practically formed by the flange of a bushing inserted into the housing (3), a thickening (22) having an outer width larger than the through-bore through the bushing being used to fix the holding element (2) (4).
As shown in FIG. 3, the holding element can also be attached to one end of a tension spring (5) which is located in the tube. The second end (6) of the tension spring is then fixed in the housing (3). The fixation can be carried out in a similar manner to that shown in FIGS. 1 or 2.
Gemäß Fig. 4 ist das Halteelement (2) so angeordnet, daß es eine im Gehäuse (3) befindliche Schraubendruckfeder (7) durchsetzt, die an einem gehäusefesten Anschlag oder an einer Querwand (8) des Gehäuses (3) -3-4, the holding element (2) is arranged so that it passes through a helical compression spring (7) located in the housing (3), which on a fixed stop or on a transverse wall (8) of the housing (3) -3-
