Abstract

The invention relates to an operating room with a filter cover and a curtain, the filter cover having a pressure box which can be connected to an air supply and on the underside of which plate-shaped filter elements are provided which rest with their edges on a grate.

The modern filter elements are able to deliver practically germ-free air. However, the air flowing down into the 5 operating area experiences turbulence, so that secondary air is entrained from the environment and the degree of purity is thereby reduced considerably.

Attempts have already been made to bring the pure air sterile into the operation area by cleverly arranging the exhaust air openings or through air nozzles, although dust and germ-rich ambient air is sucked in and blown into the operation area, especially in the case of the injection effect caused by nozzles. 10 It is known that the space under the filter ceiling can be kept largely germ-free if baffles are provided from the filter ceiling downwards and thereby a laminar flow in the room within the wall is achieved. From CH-PS 620 822 it is known that operating rooms, the walls of which adjoin a ceiling with downward air outlet openings, of which the top wall is partially formed by a curtain 15 and further walls comprise movable wall elements. According to the patent specification, the handling of the movable walls was cumbersome and time-consuming, which is why a new solution was sought. This consists in that the head wall is arranged in a fixed manner and part of the two side walls are provided with hinged wall parts and the foot wall consists of a fixed part and two height-adjustable wall parts. The side parts are not simply pivotable like a door, but rather can be folded open like a folding curtain.

The height-adjustable parts of the foot wall extend across the entire width of this wall and, when pushed up, assume a position that is at least two meters above the floor.After these parts take up the entire width of the foot wall and must be at least one meter high, also made of glass or plastic, they are certainly extremely difficult to handle. This is not only due to the high weight, but also to the risk of canting when pushed up.

According to the CH patent, the state of the art at the time was replaced by hard-to-handle solid components, and it should be pointed out in particular that in the closed state the side wall parts cannot simply be opened like a door, but that two parts can be moved simultaneously by moving a hinge band around a second hinge must be pivoted. It is therefore completely out of the question to enter or leave the cabin in a simple manner during the operation, and to do just as little manual work through the cabin wall.
