Drucktype.
Für Plakat-und Zierschrift werden bekanntlich Holztypen verwendet, welche den Übelstand aufweisen, dass sie sich durch die Einwirkung von Feuchtigkeit verziehen oder quellen, so dass beim Drucken auch die Blindflächen der Type auf das Papier gelangen. Auch kann bei schlecht ausgeschlossenen Satzformen ein Ziehen der Buchstaben eintreten, wodurch unter Umständen auch die Presse beschädigt werden kann.
Der Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bezieht sich nun auf eine Drucktype, welche aus einem Metallgehäuse besteht, das durch eine entsprechende Einlage verstärkt ist.
In der Zeichnung ist die Drucktype in Fig. 1 und 2 im Querschnitt bezw. Seitenansicht dargestellt, Fig. 3 und 4 zeigen Ausführungsformen der Drucktype im Querschnitt.
Die Drucktype besteht aus einem Metallgehäuse b, welches auf einer seiner Aussenseiten das Schriftzeichen c besitzt. In das auf zwei Seiten offene Gehäuse wird ein Stöckel a aus geeignetem Material, beispielsweise imprägniertes hartes Holz oder Kunstholz, eingeschoben, wodurch die Type bei geringem Gewichte unverändert erhalten werden kann.
Der Stöcke ! a kann auch allseitig vom Materiale eingeschlossen sein und wird dann in der Gussform durch zwei Kernstücke festgehalten, nach deren Entfernung sich in der fertigen Type Öffnungen e ergeben, die auch durch ein geeignetes Lot verlegt werden können (Fig. 3). Oder aber der Stöckel a ist zwei-oder mehrteilig und liegt in durch
Rippen d des Gehäuses b abgeteilten Räumen.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Drucktype, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein an einer seiner Aussenseiten mit dem
Schriftzeichen (c) versehenes Metallgehäuse (b) durch einen eingesetzten Stöckel (a) aus leichterem Materiale verstärkt ist.

It is known that wood types are used for poster and decorative writing, which have the disadvantage that they warp or swell due to the action of moisture, so that the blind surfaces of the type also get onto the paper during printing. The subject of the present invention now relates to a type of printing which consists of a metal housing which is reinforced by a corresponding insert.

The printing type consists of a metal housing b, which has the character c on one of its outer sides.
