  Tonplatte für Buchdruck. 



   Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Tonplatte für Buchdruck. Die Platte besteht aus Sorelzement   (Chlormagnesiummagnesitmasse), dem   Stärke und Talk beigemengt sind. 



  Gegenüber don bereits bekannten Buchdruckplatten aus Sorelzement mit Holzmehl, bietet die Masse den Vorzug, dass sie mit vollkommen ebener Oberfläche hergestellt werden kann, die sich leicht und dabei sehr sauber bearbeiten lässt, ohne dass bei der Bearbeitung und auch später beim Gebrauch kleinere Teile der bearbeiteten Oberfläche sich loslösen. Sie eignet sich daher besonders zum Tondruck. 



   Für gewöhnlich nimmt man von Magnesit, Stärke und Talk gleiche Mengen und rührt sie mit   Magnesiumchloridlösung   bis zur Konsistenz von   Ölfarbe   an. Je nach der gewünschten Härte der Tonplatte kann man das Mengenverhältnis der drei Grundbestandteile auch ändern. Die Herstellung erfolgt   zweckmässig   durch Giessen der Masse in entsprechend Formen. 



   Im Unterschied zu den bisher gebräuchlichen Tonplatten, die z. B. aus einem Holzfuss und einer aufgeleimten Zelluloidschicht zusammengesetzt sind, bildet die vorliegende Platte einen homogenen Körper ohne   Holz-oder Metallfuss,   d. h. die   Arbeitsfläche   der
Platte bildet ein Stück mit ihrer Unterlage. Eine Verschiebung der obersten, die Arbeitsfläche   onthattonden   Schicht im Verhältnis zur Unterlage ist daher ausgeschlossen und auch dem Ablösen kleinerer Teile während des Gebrauches der Platte vorgebeugt. Auch fallen die Schwierigkeiten, die das Aufziehen oder Auflöten der zu bearbeitenden Schicht auf den   Holz oder Metallfuss   bot, weg.

   The present invention relates to a clay plate for letterpress printing. The plate consists of Sorel cement (chlorine magnesium magnesite mass) to which starch and talc are added.



  Compared to the already known letterpress plates made of Sorel cement with wood flour, the compound has the advantage that it can be produced with a completely flat surface, which can be easily and very cleanly processed, without smaller parts of the processed during processing and later in use Surface detach itself. It is therefore particularly suitable for tone printing.



   Usually one takes equal amounts of magnesite, starch and talc and mixes them with a magnesium chloride solution to the consistency of oil paint. Depending on the desired hardness of the clay plate, the proportions of the three basic components can also be changed. It is conveniently produced by pouring the mass into appropriate molds.
