   Mittels der Platte 8 werden die grösseren Schlackenteile und die gröbere Asche vom Grunde der   Schüssel JfO   entfernt, ohne dass aber zuviel von diesen   Verbrennungsrückständen   abgeführt würde, was ein zu schnelles Nachfallen des in Vergasung befindlichen frischen Brennmaterials im Generatorschacht und daher eine ungenügende Ausnützung desselben zu Folge   hätte. Die Entfernung der kleinkörnigen Rückstände erfolgt nach Bedarf durch die Platte 11. 



  Bei Verwendung von nur vollen Platten zur Schlacken-und Ascheentfernungwie dies   bisher üblich war, muss die Schüssel und damit'der-Rost sehr langsam gedreht werden, da sonst zuviel Rückstände entfernt würden. Dies hatte eine geringere Auflockerung des Materials im Gefolge, so dass auch diesem   Ubelstande   durch   dieConstruktion des neuen Unterteiles   abgeholfen ist.
