Verfahren zur Herstellung von geschweissten Muffenrohren.
Das bisher gebräuchliche Verfahren zur Herstellung von geschweissten Muffenrohren besteht darin, dass das Rohrende so weit aufgetrieben wird, bis der für die Muffe gewünschte lichte Querschnitt erreicht ist. Bei dieser Herstellungsart treten Schwächungen der Muffonwandungen ein, weiche durch Aufziehen von Verstärkungsringen beseitigt werden müssen.
Das den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildende Verfahren ermöglicht die Vermeidung dieses Nachteiles, indem zwecks Erzielung entsprechend solider Mnffenwände ein nahtlos gewalzter Ring an das Rohrende überlappt angeschweisst wird.
Die Zeichnung stellt im Längsschnitt eine Muffenverbindung zweier Rohre a und b dar, von denen das Muffenrohr a nach vorliegendem Verfahren durch Anschweissen eines nahtlosen Ringes c hergestellt ist. Die gestrichelt gezeichneten Linien d stellen die Schweissnähte dar. Auf diese Weise können Rohre mit Muffen beliebiger'Form und Stärke hergestellt werden.
Die technische Wirkung des nahtlos gewalzten Ringes c für das schmiedeeiserne Muffenrohr a besteht darin, dass dieses gerade an der Muffenverbindung eine grössere Festigkeit gegen ndruck ernält, ohne dass hiebei undichte Stellen zu befürchten sind, die bei dem bereits bekannten Verschweissen mehrerer, die Muffe bildenden Ringe miteinander entstehen können.

The method used up to now for the production of welded socket pipes consists in that the pipe end is pushed up until the clear cross-section desired for the socket is reached. With this type of production, weaknesses in the muffon walls occur, which must be eliminated by pulling on reinforcing rings.
The method forming the subject of the invention enables this disadvantage to be avoided in that a seamlessly rolled ring is welded to the pipe end in an overlapping manner in order to achieve correspondingly solid shell walls.
The drawing shows, in longitudinal section, a socket connection between two pipes a and b, of which socket pipe a is produced according to the present method by welding on a seamless ring c. The dashed lines d represent the weld seams. In this way, pipes can be produced with sleeves of any shape and thickness.
The technical effect of the seamlessly rolled ring c for the wrought-iron socket pipe a consists in the fact that it acquires a greater strength against pressure at the socket connection, without fear of leaks, which are caused by the already known welding of several rings that form the socket can arise together.
