Feuermelde-Apparat.

Fire alarm apparatus.
The subject of the present invention is a fire alarm device, in which an insulation compound that melts at a certain temperature is provided between two contact points of a bell, which after melting allows a drop of mercury resting on it to sink onto the contact points, thereby closing the circuit of the bell.
The essence of the invention consists in the arrangement of materials which are fusible at different temperatures on each side of the mercury, whereby the sphere of use of the device is significantly enlarged, and in the use of a container made of dividing material, whereby the reliability of the function is increased.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments are shown, namely an apparatus which can be set to two different temperatures in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4. FIG. 3 shows the apparatus when reporting. On an insulating base plate 1 (Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4)
EMI1.1
both ends are closed by well-insulating plugs 5 and 6. The interior of the same is divided into two equal parts by a partition made of any material, one of which. an insulation compound 8 melting at about 20 (e.g. 3 parts turpentine and one part
EMI1.2
after a drop of mercury was provided on each side of the partition.
The ends 10 and 11 of a metal wire which is connected to the electrical circuit connection plate 4 protrude through the closure plugs 5 and 6.
EMI1.3
above the melting point of the insulating agent, the drop of mercury drops. 9 on the wire end 10, respectively. 11, which completes the circuit and activates the bell.
