Fusible plug with several melting strips to be switched on one after the other.
The subject of the present invention is a fuse plug for electrical lines with several consecutively usable fuse wires according to patent no. 23298, according to which the fuse wires are firmly attached in the plug body and the activation takes place by operating a movable switching element.
The novelty of the present additional patent is that of the two external contact parts required for each fuse plug, one is movable and switchable. Each fuse plug, whatever type it may have in particular,

other outer contact part through which the current leaves the plug. In addition to these two contact parts, the previously known fuse plugs with several disconnection wires that could be used one after the other had to be provided with a special switching element in order to establish the current connection for the respective disconnection wire used.
The special switching element can be avoided in the case of the fuse pins with several consumable wires that can be used one after the other and which are firmly attached in the plug body by attaching one of the two outer contact parts in a flexible and switchable manner, without any of the advantages of the fuse plugs according to Patent No. 23298

Fig. 1 is a section according to -. B of FIG. 2, which is a top view of FIG. 1 with the cover removed; Fig. 3 is a cross section along C-D in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 is a plan view of the lower, outer contact part.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4, the consumable wires a (there are three of them) are connected at one end to the contact screw sleeve 5. From the connection point they pass up through chambers c, bend inward over walls d and go inside the plug, namely in chambers formed by the inner core of insulating material, to end in angular contact styles e below. As can be seen from FIG. 3, these contact pieces e are the

Chamber 9 emerges; Then the contact piece h is turned a little and inserted with its mandrel i into the next chamber y, so that when the plug is screwed in again, a new consumable wire is switched on in the circuit.
When the plug is screwed in again, an intimate contact is achieved between the contact piece A and the angle piece e through the action of the thread b and an intimate contact between the contact piece and the corresponding contact posts of the contact rails or respectively. Contact sleeve or base.
FIGS. 5 and 6 show another embodiment, namely FIG. 5 is a longitudinal section, like FIG. 1, while in FIG. 6 the screw sleeve b is shown in elevation and partial plan view. The lower contact piece h is firmly mounted and the individual fuse wires a are firmly connected to this contact piece 1 &, e.g. soldered. The fuse wires a are led up from here in separate chambers within the plug, then each via a partition d bent over and guided downwards in a chamber to end in a metal flap n. The individual metal flaps it are isolated from each other by the material of the plug body.
The screw sleeve b is provided with a special contact tab o which, as can be seen from FIG. 6, is provided on the one hand with a hook-shaped area p. If the plug is in use, it is in place

own promotion of the flap o is effected. The associated fuse wire is then the current-carrying wire.
If this blows, the fuse plug is unscrewed and the screw sleeve b rotated until its contact tab o meets a new metal tab n on the plug casing. So that locking takes place between the contact sleeve b and the plug body in these positions, the plug body is BEZW. the metal tabs n are provided with incisions into which the bend p snaps into place.
In both embodiments, the cavities are filled with sand or emery in a manner known per se. The chambers c in FIG. 1 and the corresponding ones in FIG. F) have been closed off at the bottom by cement, plaster or the like, as indicated by dots. The number of consumable wires used can of course vary as required.
