Description

For example. For 1 m3 of the waste liquor of 120 Be described above. are used: 100 kg of baryta hydrate, 100 kg of lime and 30 kg of calcined soda. The waste liquor is heated to the boil, the barythydrate previously dissolved in hot water is added, then after some time the previously slaked lime, finally the soda dissolved in hot water and heated, preferably to a gentle boil, until causticization is complete. It is then allowed to cool to about 50-000 ° C. and filtered.
The precipitates obtained, which still contain some lye, are extracted again with water (this water can be used for the next batch to dissolve e.g. the soda) and can then be regenerated in one of the usual ways, e.g. B. by annealing in a flame furnace after prior mixing with coal dust and drying.
Example 2: A result that is almost as good as in the embodiment according to Example 1 is obtained if, working as above, 250 kg of lime and then only 10 Ay of barythydrate are used. In this case, it would not be worth regenerating the press cake.
