Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a radiator made of extruded finned tubes and cross headers, wherein the
Have lateral cross-collector ribs or grooves for snapping on cover profiles.

It is known to slide cover profiles onto the transverse collectors, which cover profiles, but which fit tightly and are not larger, so that they have no air guiding functions or increase the heat exchange surface.

Other known designs have ribs made in one piece with the collector, which protrude laterally, cover the channels and avoid the above disadvantages, since they also increase the surface area. The disadvantage, however, is the complicated shape of the cross collector and the difficulty of cleaning the channels from dust and the like. Like. Since this would have to dismantle the cross collector and dismantle the entire radiator.

The invention avoids these disadvantages in that the snap-on cover profiles are in
Have ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the transverse collector and laterally projecting beyond the transverse collector.

This results in simpler and cheaper collector profiles and only the snap-on cover profiles need to be removed for cleaning.

By the features according to the invention. it is achieved that the ribs of the finned tubes like the
Cross collector are covered at the top and bottom, creating a smooth exterior, easy-to-clean construction, sharp, protruding edges of the ribs are covered, visible, difficult to remove
Dust deposits are avoided and if necessary a deflection of the air flow can be achieved.

The invention is illustrated in the drawings, for example. 1 shows the radiator in a perspective exploded view and FIG. 2 shows the radiator in section.

As can be seen from the drawings, the radiator according to the invention consists essentially of three or two types of extruded profiles, the profile - 2 - the upper and lower
 EMI1.1
--3-- and punched ventilation holes - 10--. The cover profiles --8-- are snapped onto grooves --9-.

In order to create a liquid-tight connection between the finned tubes - l - and the upper and lower cross-headers, the cross-headers have connecting pieces which are integral with the cross-headers
 EMI1.2
larger than the width of the cross-headers - 2 - so that the annular grooves - 7 - are open on the side to allow the passage of the finned tubes - l -.
