Process for removing the combustion residues and for sucking in the charge in multi-cylinder two-stroke explosive engines.

The subject of the invention is a multi-cylinder explosive engine working in two-stroke cycles, in which the combustion residues are discharged from the working cylinders and fresh charge is sucked in by means of the negative pressure. which when reversing each piston below this and in the associated crank chamber

cylinder not into the crank chamber, so that contamination of the mixture by lubricating oil is avoided.

The drawing illustrates such a two-cylinder two-stroke explosion engine.

In cylinders a and b, pistons c and d moved in opposite directions. Cylinder a is connected to crank chamber f by tube cylinder b with chamber e by tube i.

There are shut-off valves in the pipes, and the cylinders are each provided with an inlet valve and an outlet valve. When piston c approaches the outer end of its stroke, the exhaust gases flow through exhaust valve l into the open. Valve l is closed and valve i is opened as soon as the voltage in the working cylinder has reached approximately atmospheric pressure. As a result of the negative pressure in the Kurhelkammer f, the combustion residues are now sucked out of cylinder a and after opening the inlet valve m
 EMI1.2

The valves are controlled in an appropriate manner. The exhaust gas residues sucked into the crank chamber f are conveyed through valve n @ns free when the piston tl descends.

The same processes are then repeated with regard to cylinder b and crank chamber e.

Instead of the valves, other suitable closing devices can also be used
 EMI1.3
Air can be drawn in while the fuel is introduced in another suitable manner.
