The invention relates to a device for locking the side wall in tiltable loading bridges with a rear wall that can be pivoted either about an upper or lower axis and detachable from its lower or upper bearing points, the lower bearing points being locked by hooks that are moved when the dock leveler is tilted backwards by means of a runway and loosen a linkage independently, and for actuating the hooks locking the upper bearing points or the like. Hand levers are provided.
If the dock leveler is tilted, the lower locking hooks are released automatically. The rear wall then only hangs in its upper storage point and can swing or pivot upwards to unload bulk goods.
If, on the other hand, the rear wall is to be folded down in the usual way, the hand levers must be actuated to release the upper hook and the lower hook must remain in their locking position. It is therefore necessary in this case to switch off the automatic unlocking of the lower bearing points when tilting, which has so far been carried out in such a way that the run-up track is removed from the path of the associated part and the linkage is held in its initial position. There is now the risk that when operating the hand lever to release the rear wall from its upper bearing points, the operator forgets to carry out the manipulations to switch off the automatic unlocking of the lower bearing points.
If the loading bridge is then tilted, the rear wall detaches itself from both the upper and its lower bearing points and falls off, which can damage the rear wall, but can also lead to accidents, including the fact that the rear wall is then laboriously hooked in again got to.
Thus, the invention is based on the object of eliminating these shortcomings and creating a device of the type described above, with the security that the operator always switches off the automatic unlocking for the lower bearing points of the rear wall when tilting the dock leveler, before the hand lever to Release of the rear wall actuated from its upper bearing points, whereby a comparatively simple and cheap overall construction of the locking device should be achievable.
The invention solves the problem in that the linkage is coupled to the lower locking hook via a pull-out socket pin and one of the hand levers is secured in the locked position by a lock for which the socket pin serves as a key. If the operator wants to actuate one hand lever to release the loading bridge from the relevant upper bearing point, he must first open the lock. But he can only do this with the socket pin serving as a key. He must therefore first pull out the socket pin and thus release the coupling between the rod and the lower locking hook, i.e. H. he has to switch off the automatic unlocking system before he can even operate the hand lever in question, so that incorrect operations can be avoided with certainty.
A pivotable or movable contact surface and measures to hold the linkage in place are unnecessary, so that a simplification of the construction is achieved in this regard, especially since it is only a matter of establishing or releasing a simple plug connection with the aid of the socket pin.
The lock can be designed in various ways. In a preferred embodiment, the lock consists of a spring-loaded swivel hook which engages over a shoulder of the hand lever and can be swiveled into the release position against the spring force with the aid of the socket pin.
In order to hold the swivel hook on the one hand and the socket pin on the other hand in the release position, the socket pin carries a disc segment or the like, which has a latching recess on the side facing away from the insertion end and next to it a stop pin parallel to the axis, with a spring pressing the socket pin out of the lock as well a plate or the like, which is upstream of the lock and firmly connected to it, is provided with a pin assigned to the locking recess, so that the stop pin strikes the edge of the plate when the socket pin is pressed into the lock against the spring force, in which position the pin is under the action of the spring engages in the locking recess.
When inserting the socket pin into the lock, the operator has to overcome the force of the spring loading the bolt axially so that the disc segment can step behind the plate and he can even turn the socket pin. The rotation continues until the stop pin comes to rest on the edge of the plate, in which position the operator can release the socket pin so that the spring pushes the socket pin towards the plate and the pin penetrates the locking recess around the socket pin and thus also the To lock the swivel hook in the release position. When turning back to close the lock, the spring force must of course be overcome again so that the pin emerges from the latching recess and the socket pin can be turned back with the swivel hook.
Another particularly simple lock design is characterized in that the lock has a sliding bolt which engages resiliently in a hand lever bore and which can be pushed back out of the bore with the aid of the socket pin. Here, however, the socket pin has to be removed again when it has fulfilled its function as a key. It is advisable to provide the hand lever with an inclined contact surface so that the sliding bolt automatically engages when the hand lever is swiveled back.
Furthermore, a crossbar or the like can be provided on the hand lever in front of the bore and the insertion end of the socket pin can be equipped with a slot adapted to the bar to ensure that the push bolt is only pushed back out of the bore with the socket pin and not with another tool .

In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown in two exemplary embodiments, u. Between: Fig. 1 shows the rear part of a tiltable loading bridge with a device for locking the rear wall in side view, Fig. 2 shows the associated horizontal section along the line 11-11 of Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows a view in the direction of arrow III 1 and 4 show the socket pin as a detail; and FIGS. 5 and 6 show another embodiment of the lock in side view and in section along line VI-VI in FIG. 5, with FIGS. 2 to 6 on a larger scale are kept as Fig. l.
The rear drop side --1-- of the tiltable loading bridge --2-- has two pivot pins - 3, 4-- rigidly connected to it at the top and bottom, which are each held in a bearing mouth - 5, 6-- that is assigned to the dock leveler --2--. In the bearing jaws --5,6 - the bearing journals - 3, 4 - are locked by hooks - 7, 8.
The lower hooks -8- sit on a common cross-shaft -9- that carries a crank arm-10. The crank arm is coupled with a rod --12-- with the help of the angled socket pin --11--, which engages on a lever - 13 - for which a run-up track - M--

The upper hooks --7-- are each connected via a rod --15-- to a hand lever - 16 -, the arrangement of the connecting joints and the hand lever bearing being such that the hand lever --16-- is in the in Fig. L shown locking position can not pivot independently. To operate the hooks - 7 - in the sense of releasing the bearing pins --3 -, the hand levers - 16 - must be pivoted counterclockwise.
According to the invention, the one visible hand lever --16-- is now secured in the locking position by a lock, for which the socket pin --11-- serves as a key. The lock consists of a swivel hook - 17 - which is mounted in an eye - 18 - which is attached to the side wall or to a post --19-- of the loading bridge --2--. A shoulder - 20 - is provided on the hand lever --16--,

A disk segment - 24 - is seated on the socket pin and has a latching recess - 25 - and next to it a stop pin - 26. A plate - 27 - is arranged in front of the lock, which carries a pin --28-- corresponding to the locking recess --26--. A leaf spring --29-- is provided behind the lock, which must be pushed back when inserting the socket pin --11-- into the hub - 22 - of the swivel hook --17-- or the inserted bolt --11- - Tried to push out of the hub. In Figs. 1 and 2, the locking position is shown.
If the lock is to be released, i.e. the lock is to be opened, the socket pin must be inserted against the force of the spring - 29 - so far that the disc segment - 24 - comes to rest behind the plate - 27 - and on the pin - 28-can be moved past. If the socket pin --11 - is now turned until the stop pin - 26 - rests on the edge of the plate - 27 -, a position is reached in which the pin --28-- the locking recess - 25-- is exactly opposite, so that the pin --28-- when the insert pin is released

But so that this pushing back cannot be carried out with another tool, a transverse web --33-- is welded in front of the hole --32-- of the hand lever --16--, which thus partially covers the hole --32-- and only allows access to a key that is shaped accordingly. The insertion end - 32 - of the socket pin - 11 - is therefore provided with a longitudinal slot --34 -, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 6.
The hand lever --16-- is provided with a bevel --35-- on the side with which it strikes the sliding bolt at the tailgate lock, (Fig. 6), so that the sliding bolt --31-- at Swiveling the hand lever --16-- is automatically pushed back into the end position so that it can then click into place.
