In the housing 19, which is closed by the cover Jf'S and which is connected through the pipe 20 with the upper dome of the water level indicator or the steam chamber of the boiler, a membrane 21 or the like made of elastic, suitably corrugated sheet metal is attached. The pin 22, which is passed through the cover 18, rests on the membrane 21, which can also be influenced by a special spring. The pin 22 can also sit firmly on the diaphragm 21, which can also be replaced by a piston.
The plates 23, 24, to which the lead wires 25, 26 are attached, are placed insulated on the cover 18. A simple or, as shown, a double lever 27, which is influenced by a weight or a spring 28, is rotatably attached to a further plate 31.
A lead wire 32 leads from the plate 31 to the signaling apparatus 16, while the wires of the plate 23, 24 lead to the battery 15.
The diaphragm 21 springs towards one side, while on the other hand it is influenced by the pressure in the line and this always influences the diaphragm, whereby it remains in the middle position when the normal pressure is reached.
If the pressure is so strong, it moves the membrane 21 upwards, which by means of the pin moves the double lever 27 upwards, whereby the contact pin 33 lowers onto the contact plate 28 and the line closes, while vice versa, if too little pressure is present is to try to return the membrane to its natural position, the contact pin 54 of the lever 27 coming into contact with the plate 24 or, as shown, with a pin 35.
Now to interrupt the signal when z. 11. the boiler to the

pin 54 resilient. If it hits the contact pin 35, the current is closed. If the pressure drops further, however, the resilient pin 3 steps back from the pin 35 and the circuit is switched off.
For easier setting of the contact lever 27, a special scale or the like can be attached.
Instead of a single signal device M for displaying the water level and the high and low pressure, different Signat. Equipment should be provided so that it can be heard whether the water level is too low or the pressure in the boiler is too high or too low.
The device for displaying the water level and the pressure can also be used separately from one another.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Signal device for steam essel u. Like., in which, if the water level is too low, a mercury column is influenced by the steam in such a way that it comes into contact with contacts 111 and thus closes a circuit, characterized in that the container holding the mercury column on the one hand with the water and on the other hand with the steam room and that the mercury column is partly above and partly below the water level, so that even with minor fluctuations in the water level, the mercury column is influenced by water or steam.
