Control device for the gas supply in gas-fired instantaneous water heaters
Patent No. 277523 relates to a control device for the gas supply in gas-heated instantaneous water heaters, which serve as a heat source for a water circulation heating system, in which a connecting line is provided between the flow and return lines that shorts the heating circuit and is controlled by a switch valve, with a flow pressure in the short-circuited part of the Heating circuit responsive water switch is provided, which throttles the gas supply when the connection line is closed or throttled.
A heat exchanger for heating service water can be switched on in the connecting line. The gas supply is throttled during normal heating operation.
The arrangement according to patent no. 277523 makes it possible to work at full power during the tapping of service water and during the heating-up period.
It is known to convey the exhaust gases from gas-heated instantaneous water heaters into the open by means of an exhaust fan. The performance of these exhaust gas fans is designed according to the exhaust gas quantities that arise when the water heater is under nominal load.
The present invention is based on the object of creating an exhaust gas fan arrangement for instantaneous water heaters, which works with reduced power during hot operation.
Based on a control device of the type mentioned in the introduction according to patent no. 277523, the invention consists in that the water switch simultaneously with the throttling of the gas supply also actuates an electrical switch that switches a known exhaust gas fan of the instantaneous water heater to a lower speed.
An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to the drawings in an embodiment. FIG. 1 shows schematically a gas burner according to the invention and FIG. 2 shows a top view of its valve seat ring with a sector diaphragm.

A return line --5-- is connected on the inlet side to the lamellar block --4-- and a flow line - 6 - of a circulation heating system on the outlet side. A circulation pump --7-- is switched on in the return line 5. The flow line-6-leads to a switching valve-8- to which a connection line -9- is connected.

Return line -5- is connected.
In the position of the switching valve - 8 - shown, the flow line --6-- is connected to the connection line --9-- so that the circulation pump --7-- is in a small circulation circuit via the lamellar block-4-, the flow line -6-, the switching valve --8-- and the connecting line --9-- generate a water circulation. The one is the radiators - 11 - and the branch - 6 '- the

can and is also designed as a thermostatic expansion body. As long as --10 '- service water is withdrawn from the pipe coil, the switching valve --8-- retains the position shown.
As soon as the tapping of service water stops, the valve closure body --8 '- is shifted to the right by the setting motor --12--, but only closes the outlet -9' - of the connecting line --9-- when the flow water in the flow line-6 has exceeded a certain temperature. During the heating-up period, the switching valve --8-- is in such a position that both the connection of the flow line --6-- to the line branch --6 '- and to the connection line --9-- is open.
With cold supply water, a large amount of water flows through the connecting line --9-- and only a small amount of water via the branch line --6 '- to the radiators --11-- because of the lower flow resistance. The more the temperature of the supply water increases, the greater the proportion of the water flowing through the branch --6 '- and the smaller the proportion of the water flowing through the connecting line --9-- until the

As long as the circulation pump --7-- is running, there is a flow pressure at the venturi nozzle - -28-- which causes the water switch --27-- to respond and the magnet --25-- to switch on. This device, which acts as a low-water protection device, keeps the gas valve --3-- open while the circulation pump --7-- is running. The gas valve - 3 - is preceded by an orifice --29-- that restricts the passage of gas.
This is rotatably mounted below the valve seat ring --23-- on a collar --30-- and is held in the open position by a spring (not shown). The diaphragm -29- has four sectors -29'- which more or less cover the corresponding sector-shaped passages -23 'of the valve seat ring -23- (see Fig. 2). A downwardly protruding radial flag -31- is attached to the rotatable diaphragm -29, on which a push pin -32- rests.
The push pin --32-- is in the sense of a rotation of the orifice plate --29-- from

Hot operation Flow pressure in the heating circuit at the Venturi nozzle --13 '- arises, the throttle orifice - 29 - is turned and the gas supply is throttled to reduced performance.
The control pin --14 "- of the water switch --14 '-, which moves the lever --33--, simultaneously actuates an electrical switch - 34--, which operates and opens at partial load, i.e. when the water switch responds A resistor - -36-- is located parallel to the switch --34--. The switch and resistor are in series with the motor --35-- (fan motor LM) of an exhaust fan.
In the operating state of the device shown in FIG. 1, the water heater is in the "service water preparation" state. The valve --8-- opens the connecting line -9--. There is no dynamic pressure difference at the Venturi nozzle-13 '-. The water switch - 14 '- is in its rest position.
The nominal amount of gas is fed to the burner if the
