  Exzentrischer Bohrmeissel.

  Eccentric drill bit.

The subject of the present invention is an eccentric drill bit, the lower boundary line of which, in the simplest representation, has the shape of the letter Z in an inclined position.

Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing show two equivalent forms of the Z-drill.

In the form of Fig. 1 the center line goes through the downwardly pointed corner, in the form of Fig. 2 through the upwardly tapered corner.f If the center line is laid differently (expedient
 EMI1.1
Center line of the borehole up and down. The two inclined cutting edges c that meet in it bore the central part of the borehole in a conical shape. At the same time, when moving the chisel, the outer part of the sole is replaced by the third, eccentric part
 EMI1.2

Characteristic of this eccentric drill is the double definition of the relative position of the chisel to the sole at the moment of impact. This is done: firstly, by sliding off the centrally located corner et or the cutting edges b, c that meet in it towards the point in the middle of the sole, secondly by the fact that the corner f is saddle-like in the annular rotation it creates during drilling or comes up like a wedge.

The individual cutting edges b, c, d can be the same or different from the horizontal
 EMI1.3
Ring to prevent the falling parts of the earth into the central depression, to avoid the filling up of the same and as a result to achieve better drilling progress.

The chisel is expediently designed with a jaw cutting edge g, as shown in three hoists in FIG. 3.
 EMI1.4
To prevent the chisel from slipping sideways, a jaw cutting edge is also carried out on the other side (Fig. 4) or even the saddle guide h (Fig. 5) is repeated symmetrically to / '.
