Drying device for grain or similar. Grains
The invention relates to a drying device for grain or similar. Grains with a heated trough-like container with a sieve bottom and a shovel mechanism that can be moved back and forth above the sieve bottom.
The drying of cereals or other grains and of seeds has long been known. In the past, air drying was preferred, which is naturally extremely tedious and therefore uneconomical, especially when the air humidity is high.
In order to carry out the necessary drying work mainly in agricultural operations, ie not in warehouses or the like, one has switched to using heated containers or troughs. When the drying process is complete, the containers or troughs are tipped out and refilled. Apart from the fact that the method of operation is uneconomical as such, the drying itself takes a relatively long time, as temperatures between 50 and 80 C, depending on the type of grain, must not be exceeded if roasting or burning is to be avoided.
There are also grain drying devices have become known in which a

lying grain was automatically moved first through the drying zone and then through the cooling zone. It has also become known to use wheels which can be moved horizontally back and forth and are provided with radially protruding blades for conveying the goods to be dried in grain dryers. In doing so, however, as is usual with closed chamber dryers with throwing shovels, the material was lifted from the ground and thrown through the heated medium.
However, the invention relates to a so-called trough dryer, in which the material is only pushed back and forth over the sieve bottom and turned around without it being practically lifted from it.
The object of the invention is to create an automatic drying device with which grain, grains or the like can be dried continuously and without dead times in a significantly shorter period of time than before, without losses due to burning. In addition, the device should be simple to operate and work without problems.
According to the invention, the shovel mechanism consists of two telescopically interlocking wave-like parts, of which the outer tubular part is fitted with exchangeable and adjustable turning blades or is designed as a web roller, while at the ends of the inner wave-like part on which the tubular part is rotatably mounted, rollers or Ball bearings, which are arranged on the lower legs of U-rails attached to the container edges, and next to the bearings gear wheels are attached that engage in racks provided on the upper legs of the U-rails, with two motors or to drive the two shaft-like parts an engine with gearbox and neutral gear or with cable or.
Chain drive are provided and the inner wave-like part additionally has an angular support, which is supported on the U-rail, for example via ball rails, and carries the motors.
The device according to the invention works automatically according to the push-and-turn system. Due to the fact that the shovel mechanism keeps the respective fruit constantly in motion
