Stimmwirbel.
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stimmwirbel für Saiteninstrumente und bezweckt das Einziehen der Saiten bzw. ihr Aufwinden auf den Wirbel zu erleichtern. Zu diesem Zwecke ist am Wirbelschafte vom Locheingange aus nach dem Ausgange hin und darüber hinaus eine Nut angebracht, die beim Drehen des Wirbels die Saite derart zu leiten bestimmt ist, dass das in das Wirbelloch eingesteckte Saitenende schon bei einer halben Umdrehung festgeklemmt werden kann.
Die Fig. I bis V der Zeichnung zeigen als Ausführungsbeispiel in mehreren Ansichten einen mit der Neuerung ausgestatteten Wirbel, wobei a den Wirbelschaft, b das Wirbelloch und c die vom Locheingange ans bis zum Ausgange und noch etwas darüber hinaus sich erstreckende Nut bezeichnet. Beim gezeichneten Beispiele haben Loch bund Nut c etwas Anlauf, d. h. sie sind an einem Ende etwas erweitert ; dies ist aber nicht unbedingt notwendig. Es wird ausdrücklich bemerkt, dass besonders die Nut beim Wirbellochausgango wesentlich für das Klemmen der Saite ist, wogegen die Nut vom Eingange ans dazu beiträgt, der Saite von Anfang an die richtige Führung zu geben. Es kann aber auch die letztere Nut wegfallen.

Tuning pegs.
The invention relates to a tuning peg for stringed instruments and aims to facilitate the drawing in of the strings or their winding onto the peg. For this purpose, a groove is attached to the peg shaft from the hole entrance to the exit and beyond, which is intended to guide the string when the peg is turned in such a way that the end of the string inserted into the peg hole can be clamped after half a turn.
FIGS. I to V of the drawing show an exemplary embodiment in several views of a vertebra equipped with the innovation, with a denoting the vertebral shaft, b the vertebral hole and c the groove extending from the hole entrance to the exit and slightly beyond. In the example shown, the hole and groove c have a bit of run-up, i.e. H. they are somewhat widened at one end; but this is not absolutely necessary. It is expressly noted that especially the groove at the exit of the peg hole is essential for the clamping of the string, whereas the groove from the entry on helps to give the string the right guidance from the start. However, the latter groove can also be omitted.
